Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
If it should end, and I've said this in the past, it should be to a guy who's over right now, but this would put him among the greats in history. Cena is already among them (at least in WWE history wise) and Punk had his shot. I would say Daniel Bryan, because it would put him over forever and he could use that as a heel gimmick as well (cocky guy who beat the impossible.)
The heel gimmick could also work, because it has an inherent weakness, which opens up the face/heel promos. He beat Undertaker who would be 49 at the time of WM30, he's past his prime, so while Bryan(or whomever) beat him, it was an old Taker, so the face basically would say it's not as meaningful(which I'm not sure how that would go over on fans, being that it would kinda bury the Taker streak a bit.)
Sheamus could, but the inconsistent booking WWE gives him is rather annoying. It's a small list that I think should be Taker, if they go that route, but if it's not Bryan, Sheamus, or Reigns/Ambrose, it shouldn't end.Last edited by Ice_Cold345; 12-23-2013, 04:16 PM.NFL: Houston Texans / Carolina Panthers

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
If they're going to monster push Roman Reigns the way they say, then he's the only guy that makes sense.
Although personally I've always been in favor of letting Taker retire with it.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
Cena ending it would be awful, he doesn't need it but I guess that's one of the few things he hasn't done.
If they're going to end it (which I doubt at this point) it needs to be a young guy that it would really take to the next level, I'm not the biggest Roman Reigns fan (I don't dislike him but I think hes the weakest member of The Shield but he has the look WWE likes) but if the WWE is serious about pushing him to be their next mega star that's the kind of guy you have end the streak.
I have a feeling Reigns will end up a face for his push though and I think a heel should end the streak so I'd say Ambrose as that would cement him as a top heel, like I said though I don't think the streak ends at this point.
As for Daniel Bryan I got say NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. That to me would be worse than Cena. I think the streak has to be defeated I don't want Taker retiring with it. I don't wanna see someone who hasn't paid his dues beating the streak wither referring to Reigns or someone like that getting it.
Right now to me theres only a handful of people worthy of defeating the streak. Most have had their shot but I want to see someone established. As for Sting beating the streak and thinkin that is the worse thing they could do I would say there are far worse people who could end the streak. EX PTP members,Drew McIntyre,Dolph,Sandow,Axel. Just to name a few. Though I like some of those guys when I think of Taker and how big the streak is u gotta have someone just as big or close to that lvl to end it.Last edited by Mr2Nice; 12-23-2013, 04:47 PM.Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
No, it's definitely moreso a Vince ego thing. Like WWF losing to Alliance was never a thought because God forbid Vince not crush WCW/ECW after winning the Monday Night War. That's not to say your point isn't taken into consideration, because it is part of the reasoning as well, but if Sting was in his 30's and had the pedigree he did, it wouldn't happen because Vince wouldn't dare allow the thought of WCW one upping him happen.Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
Back to the original point, will Taker be back?
Originally posted by ewrestlingnewsThe Undertaker has agreed to wrestle at WrestleMania XXX. WWE had been hoping he would wrestle on the show but official word came in this past week.
WrestleMania is over three months away but there is currently no opponent set to challenge The Streak.
Batista has been putting on a lot of muscle for his return to WWE. It was previously reported that the plan was for Batista to make a surprise return at the Royal Rumble. One source says that he could win the Rumble and challenge Randy Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania but that is not confirmed by any means. The deal was set up by Triple H.
Batista isn't getting as good of a deal as Brock Lesnar, but he is getting a very, very good deal. It will include appearances at PPVs, RAW, SmackDown and live events. It's said to be a "close to full time" deal that will keep him in the company past WrestleMania 30.
-Chris Jericho recently spoke with WWE.com about a potential return and more. Here is what he had to say…
"I don't really have the itch. I'm super busy with all the stuff I'm doing, between Fozzy tours, we're getting ready to record a new record, the podcast, "But I'm Chris Jericho," which is another big hit. I'm also finishing my third book. There's a lot of stuff going on. Having said that, I'd be open to it, but I haven't had any conversations or anything like that. It's WrestleMania. Anybody that's been in WWE wants to be involved. If I'm there, it'll be awesome and I'll do everything I can to have the best match on the show. If I'm not, I'll have a great time watching it, I'm sure."That's not an insult, THAT is just a fact of life.Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
- WWE aired a promo on tonight's RAW that revealed Batista will make his return on the January 20th live RAW from the Wright State University's Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio.
- PWInsider has confirmed earlier speculation that the most discussed scenario for Batista's WWE return was to win the Royal Rumble and face WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton at WrestleMania XXX.
They add there was also talk of Batista vs. The Undertaker in a WrestleMania 23 rematch.
- As noted, Chris Jericho will be appearing at World of Wheels in Pittsburgh during the same weekend WWE is in town for the 2014 Royal Rumble. Jericho commented about this on Twitter and called it a "#coincidence."Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
I'm having a difficult time deciding on making that trip to the Nutter Center or not. Wrestling is so damn hit or miss right now.
