It kills me everytime. Funniest gif I've ever seen. Even with no context, it's still hilarious.

Look at the Zack Ryder push. Fans were wanting him, they got him, and the pushed him way too fast and it ruined him.

If Bryan loses to HHH it will prove that WWE has no clue about storytelling this was MADE to be the main event of Wrestlemania with Bryan winning.

I don't even dislike HHH but anything less than a Bryan win and I wouldn't blame him if he quits there and then.

Oh I know. And its sad that the business works that way IF that's the case.

Guys creating their own popularity is what launched the attitude era and won the Monday night War.

Now its a name generator, gimmick generator, and memorize this promo please. And if WE like the finished product you will be pushed.

Vince and his goons are interested in what they want to see not what their fans want. And they get offended at their fans when they are wrong about something/someone.

I don't blame creative either because at some point if your character isn't working you need to go out on a limb and try something else. Cut a promo as yourself during a house show or something. ALL of the great characters in professional wrestling have had a large part of the wrestlers actual personality inside it. Creative can get you going but it's their job to break free and run after awhile. Del Rio never did that and I won't miss him.
After awhile, "generic heel" gets boring with anybody just like "generic face" is boring with Cena, Orton, etc. When he was involved in some storylines, I think he was far more interesting. The same thing is going to happen with Bray Wyatt, The Sheild, too. They have promise because they are new, but people here were claiming ADR was the best thing since sliced bread when he first got pushed too.

In my opinion, that is the main reason that the product has gotten so stale. Very few are allowed to deviate from the script. And that's if they actually get mic time. It's really hard to tell a complete story just by bookings.

Guys have almost no personality aside from their physical appearance. Just look at Sheamus, Del Rio, Ryback, and so on. That's not what got people to like Austin, Rock, HBK, etc. I just think its a shame that so many guys aren't given a real chance to sink or swim when it comes to actually connecting with the audience.

And the one guy who is allowed to really own his character, Bray Wyatt, is absolutely killing it right now.

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread

If you ever listen to the creators/actors/writers reviewing of episodes on DVDs/Blu-Rays, you hear about actors ad-libbing things (at least the good ones) into the shows and those are usually the most funniest/memorable things about the episode. I just don't get why WWE wants to be this mass controller of everything rather than let guys go create their character. It would help guys get better on the mic and create characters that have been missing for 10 years.

Look at the Godfather. He's a memorable character, but he wasn't world champion. The main event players shouldn't be the only one with gimmicks, and gimmicks that are allowed to blossom into something of it's own.

Ah but Wyatt is Triple H's pet project! He'll do no wrong even if he does.

If ADR leaves, who will Rey wrestle on 78 consecutive shows every time he comes back from an injury?

Also, if HHH beats Bryan at Mania, I feel bad for anyone who has to go on after that. Except Batista.

Aren't they letting the NXT people do their own thing? I thought that was the point of the green-screen room at the Performance Center (and the leaked promo stuff from months ago). I'm sure WWE staff is there to help guide, but looks like they have free reign to come up with stuff.

That's not to say that WWE wouldn't then script when they call people up, but apparently Bray Wyatt does his own stuff. I'd be surprised if anyone is scripting the weird stuff Big E does. Might be slowly changing away from the overly scripted stuff.
