I honestly cannot grasp this concept. That magazine has been on the rack in every newsstand, grocery store, etc. for over 30 years. Unless you grew up and have always lived in a small town, I just don't know how it's possible to have never heard of it if you are a wrestling fan. I'm assuming you've heard of the WWE Magazine, right? PWI is on the rack right next to it 99% of the time.

I couldn't tell you the last time I saw a WWE magazine... granted I don't remember the last time I went out of my way to look at magazines either.

And here I am just now realizing that people still buy magazines.

The only magazines I've ever had were related to cars, guns, or naked women.

Even dirty magazines are completely useless these days.

That's true. Joe never really got a lot of interest from WWE, and I doubt Abyss got much either. But they were supposedly interested in Roode, and he stayed put.

It's interesting to look at the ages of some of tna's homegrown "young" talent. Roode is 36, Joe 34, and Abyss is 39, etc.

Yeah, agreed. Though Roode is one guy I think could cut it still. His singles run and Matches with Aires were really good.

The problem with Roode is that he didn't make it to the main event scene in TNA until he was 34. He's two years older now, if he had gone to WWE, he'd have been stuck in the midcard for a while. And for a dude that finally made it to the top in TNA, and is 36 years old, I can actually understand deciding to play it safe and stay in TNA.

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread

                  - Darren Young and Titus O'Neil vs. Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger gained around 250,000 viewers for a 3.5 rating. Considering who was in the match and the fact that it's not at the normal top of the hour growth period, this shows that the Young story led to an increase in viewers.

                  - Ryback is in line for a major push coming out of his current bullying gimmick. Those who work in WWE merchandising have been told to go heavy on coming up with ideas for him. Usually when they get that word it means not just a big push but a babyface turn.

                  - WWE apparently changed the planned finish to the CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar SummerSlam match in the middle of last week. This could be because The Undertaker has agreed to work Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX and if that's going to be one of the main events, Lesnar had no business losing at SummerSlam and going into WrestleMania with a 2-3 record.

                  - As seen on RAW, John Cena mentioned that he was advised to skip SummerSlam and cancel the Daniel Bryan match because of his elbow injury. Cena was telling the truth there. He insisted on doing the match and putting Bryan over before taking time off to have surgery. Cena's rehab will be part of the storylines on several new episodes of WWE Total Divas.

                  - While The Ultimate Warrior was in Los Angeles for WWE 2K14 business over SummerSlam weekend, he reportedly met with Vince McMahon. No word yet on what was discussed or how the meeting went.

                  - As noted, CM Punk vs. Curtis Axel and Paul Heyman is being advertised for Monday's RAW. Word is that the Intercontinental Title may be on the line for this match.

I think the IC title would look good on Punk.

                    CM Punk, Intercontinental Champion.

                    Hmm.

                    Probably not, DQ finish.

I still think that's the best possible thing that could happen to the Intercontinental Championship.

Punk could make that belt matter again.

The only thing that could restore that belt would be a unified World Title. It being the number 3/4 title will never really allow it to "matter."

Another TNA guy who's contract situation will likely come down to the wire is Mr. Anderson. He may not get any WWE interest, but there's a chance

I didn't see KENNEDYYYYYYYYYYYYY's first run, all I've seen of him are a couple matches on DVD compilations, so I'd like to see him come back. He looks entertaining.

                              KENNEDY.

                                AJ debut idea:

I honestly don't think there should be a gimmick if Styles goes to WWE. I think they should book it much like they did RVD coming back, just say 'AJ Styles is coming at this time, for this PPV.' Then when he debuts, have him cut a promo about the only reason he came to WWE was to see what their so called 'top stars' are offering in the ways of competition. Then have him booked against some of the semi-top card wrestlers, (Ziggler, Cesaro, RVD, Del Rio) and eventually Daniel Bryan (Who would ideally be WWE Champ) would challenge him to a match at a PPV. I dunno, I just think that AJ should be booked like AJ, a great wrestler who is looking for the ultimate competition.
Since there is the rumor about AJ Styles' contract expiring, let's try this out.
First of all, AJ Lee as Diva's Champion joins Corporate: Evolved (or whatever they are calling it) and decides she is a businesswoman now (but is still absolutely bonkers). She now would prefer to be called April Jasmine Lee, or Ms. Lee for short.
Possibly a few weeks later, they start showing vignettes about flight and flying that are most easily a sign that Evan Bourne is set to return (but no name is given). A few weeks after those vignettes, Evan Bourn re-debuts and people think that's that... until another vignette is shown declaring that takeoff is scheduled for "Next Week".
Now, you can throw it right into the corporate angle. Daniel Bryan is struggling against Corporate: Evolved as they have put all the other faces on the shelf via Triple Powerbombs and Punts. Bryan is set to tag with Dolph Ziggler and CM Punk against The Shield. Cut to later in the show. CM Punk is giving an interview when he is also taken out by The Shield and therefore Bryan has to find a new partner. The night continues on with segments where he asks various people to join him, and they all decline because they see it hazardous to their health. Jump to the Main Event and Bryan still has no third partner. He and Punk come to the ring and then the final vignette appears "Ready for takeoff". Cue AJ Styles. Styles ends up pinning Ambrose leading to a feud over the US Title.
...Eh, it's nothing special, but at least I tried.
