If given the chance Daniel Bryan could be a good heel he has the mic skills to pull it off.

I actually do compare DBry to Bret. But all those guys at least have a personality. Not saying mic skills is a must but I cant take him serious. It's like he's lacking something.

He's much better on the mic when he doesn't have a script to follow.

Lesnar's mic skills got pretty good at the end of his original run. But even so, Brock is a physically gifted monster - size does matter and can help you get over more.

Bryan has good mic skills. He's a lot better than Bret ever was, imo. But he doesn't have a lot of charisma. Batista's mic skills are pretty poor too, but that dude oozed Charisma. He's a phenomenal worker who is very good in a lot of other areas. But I don't believe he'll ever be "the guy", or even close to it. He'll be like Jericho, as Y2J put it, the guy that works with "the guy". He'll be near the top of the card for a long time. He'll put on great matches. He'll be that workhorse that you always need. But he'll never be that guy that has a six month to a year long title reign. Because at the top, charisma is most important. That's why John Cena is up there. That's why Orton is always up there (not a great talker, good worker to great worker with the right opponent, but very charismatic).

Orton hasnt been charismatic in years if ever. Orton is there because hes a stellar worker and hes what they are used to. Right now he is nothing but a warm body in his own storyline.

He last had charisma back in his Legend Killer days. His Viper gimmick really doesn't need charisma, more of a guy that looks like he will kill you with his uncontrollable personality.

The crowd still reacts to almost everything he does. He's not a great talker, but the dude has charisma. And that's not something that comes and goes.

I could say the same about Daniel Bryan.

All you need to know about this whole story is Big Show stealing Bryan's pops by doing his "YES" thing.

I guarantee you that is by design. Vince or Triple H or both are trying to prove a point with that ****. I promise you one or both of them specifically called for that to justify their thought process that Bryan isn't over but the YES chant is.

                          Source: The Wrestling Observer

WWE is planning on making Damien Sandow a "top guy". They are going to start treating him like a top contender, which is why he easily defeated Kofi Kingston last night on RAW.

Vince McMahon is very high on him these days and his match with John Cena several weeks ago on RAW was heavily praised by many backstage.
That's not an insult, THAT is just a fact of life.

Cool, now if only they start treating Cody Rhodes like a top contender.

I'd expect to read something in the near future totally reversing these remarks and people getting pissed.

Also, I see we are still underrating the charisma of both Orton and Bret Hart. Bret Hart was a great baby face in times when a baby face could get over. He was the ultimate hard worker and portrayed that in the ring and in his promos. Near the end of his WWE run, he was producing excellent mic work with HBK.

Orton can get a crowd eating out of the palm of his hand. It's his natural ability to play on a crowd's emotions, and do the little things to make people extremely happy/pissed about him. He's a little...stiff on the mic, although I attribute that to his boring "viper" gimmick.

The crowd just chanted "Yes" for everyone last night, Big Show or not. After the chokeslam, he didn't do anything to instigate it.
