Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread

So, basically, you guys want Bray Wyatt to be this "generation's" Mankind, in a sense? Character who is over, should be near the top but not as big as the Rock's/SCSA/HHH's, fights for the belt when they need a new "agitator-type" character involved in the title picture to give people a break, etc?

Just because that's, well, that's how I always saw Mankind.

I like Mason Ryan as the Big Guy in The Shield or any group for that matter. All he has to do is stand in the background and look bad ***. Plus the in ring work of Rollins and Ambrose would help hide his lack of ring work.

Mankind was a beast!!!! You kinda sound like Biscoff when he announced on Nitro that Mankind was going to win the world title. I turned to RAW to easy it. As for Bray Wyatt I really enjoy his gimmick. I like him talking in riddles, it something different from I'm going to beat u or the 5-10 boring promos I see week after week. Confusion is good and different.

Don't get me wrong, I was a big Mankind fan and got to witness him beat the Rock for his 1st WWF title in person (and it's still one of the coolest sporting moments I've ever witnessed live)....but he is exactly what people are describing Wyatt as. He was a top name for the company but the WWF title wasn't needed for his character. He won it and fought for it, but it was never the main motivation and it was seamless when they wanted to transition him out of the title picture while keeping him near the top of the card.

Bray Wyatt is different than Mankind, obviously, but the role he could play and it sounds like people want him to play, is similar to how I always viewed Mankind.

            - Another idea that was discussed for Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania XXX is to have him team with John Cena and Daniel Bryan to face The Wyatt Family in a six-man match.

There's a feeling that Hogan won't be able to pass the physical so he won't end up wrestling but it's possible WWE doctors can let him go out and do very limited physical work.

            - We noted before that Batista is back in WWE for likely the next two years. He actually wanted to come in for a "final run" as opposed to just WrestleMania XXX season.

Can Hogan survive doing one more leg drop? I heard his back was made of jello.

As a huge Daniel Bryan fan I fully support this scenario. This tremendously helps everyone involved.

A lot better then their other ideas for Cena/Hogan which would have probably been awful. I imagine there would be a spot that could get some serious crowd reaction involving those 3

I could not possibly have less interest in seeing Hogan at Wrestlemania in any capacity.

I can't separate the backstage political ******* that helped kill WCW from the nostalgia of Hulkamania anymore. I've read too much.

I've never been the least bit intrigued by Hulk Hogan, even as a kid. I don't know what it was but he just wasn't my cup of tea. The most I've ever liked him was in the nWo, but even that was more me liking the group than me liking them.

It's strange because I should be in the age demographic where I grew up idolizing the Hulkster, but I remember nothing about my childhood that shows that I ever liked him.

It should go without saying I have no interest in seeing him in the ring ever again.

I absolutely have no interest in seeing Hogan wrestle again either. But he is BY FAR the most important wrestler in Wrestlemanina history. Having him at Wrestlemania XXX will bring that "magic" back to those who grew up watching him define the event (for me it was Hogan/Warrior at WM6).

If they go with Bryan vs. Lesnar, I wouldn't mind seeing Hogan in Bryan's corner. He could give Bryan that "no one believed in me vs. Andre at WM3" motivation and edge and would be a perfect advesary for Paul Heyman.
"Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."

Umm u do know most of the backstage issues was more of a Nash thing right? The Kliq were the masterminds of having the booking changed to their liking. Now was Hogan totally innocent? No,but most major stars are not. Randy Orton complaining that a wrestler was dangerous when it was really him screwin up (Blamin Kofi & others).

Now I don't wanna see Hogan come back as a wrestler. I won't mind him as a guest manager or something like that. Just like I don't wanna see Flair next week but I guess I am going to have to deal with it. But like OS member Rocky said Hogan is a big part of WM. Just like Taker,Austin,Rock & HBK are.

One more thing about the killing WCW, almost everyone that matter in WCW were the ones who helped kill WCW.

Hogan being an integral part of wrestling doesn't mean you can't despise the MAN for anything he's done in the past.

                                - As noted before, WWE has discussed Roddy Piper, Hulk Hogan and John Cena working together in the main event at WrestleMania XXX. Ideas discussed include Cena and Hogan vs. Piper and another heel, Hogan and Piper vs. Swagger and Cesaro or Hogan vs. Piper in a Legends singles match.

Word is that Piper himself has pitched the idea of teaming with another heel to face Hogan and Cena with the idea that it would play off the WrestleMania I main event, which saw Hogan and Mr. T defeat Piper and Paul Orndorff.

                                - NXT star Alexander Rusev is on the road with WWE's main roster this weekend. He defeated Zack Ryder at last night's live event in Fayetteville, NC. A fan in attendance described Rusev as looking strong but very green still.
