Dave Meltzer, who broke the news of The Rock missing tonight’s Raw posted the following update on the F4WOnline message board:

“Definitely not a creative issue. Everything they were planning tonight was right from his mouth and laid out by him to creative, not the other way around. He was the one who told Brock the angle and Brock was more than fine with it. Don’t know the severity of the injury. Don’t want to speculate more until I hear more.
Cena thing taken down over a miscommunication on my part, will put it back up. Still happening as best I know.”

Seriously though if there was any truth to that report it's an easy fix like I mentioned in my post last night. When Dolph won the Money in the Bank back in July, Big Johnny had just been fired and Vickie had taken over duties for both Raw and Smackdown. She and Dolph were still a thing at the time. All they would have had to do is say she changed the contract that was in his briefcase and naturally kept her mouth shut about it. After they split, you could just explain that she didn't want to publicly admit that she got played by him by giving him that contract and Vince had been on her *** as well and she didn't want to reveal that and have him going at her for that too and was basically banking on Dolph to cash in on the World Heavyweight title and not the WWE and exposing it. Don't know why everyone acts like WWE ignoring or finding ways around their own rules and continuity is some impossible feat. Not that it matters anymore now anyway lol.

I think that they'd have to have Big Johnny around for a bit longer if they ever wanted to run that angle though. Like for the 2-3 weeks prior to cash in he'd be around.

Then again, it's Ziggler so even if there were no explanation of why people wouldn't bitch.

I was gonna post this in its own thread but seems like you guys already started talking about it in here.

So the reason for the Rock leaving was to get treatment for his injuries and not a creative reason. He was scheduled to start something with Brock on Raw and presumably finish up with Cena at Extreme Rules.

I'm pretty sure that entire report about him being pissed because they changed the outcome of the match and ziggler was supposed to cash in on the wrong title was entirely BS.

Not sure who to believe. The Rock didn't look like he suffered a bad injury last night at all.

I'd probably believe The Rock and not some random backstage source.

Look up the injury. It's not something like blowing a quad or tearing an Achilles which would render you unable to perform certain physical activities. He ripped his stomach muscles up. It's not a crippling injury that combined with adrenaline, meant he could finish the match albeit probably in a pretty good amount of pain.

It's not a crippling injury that combined with adrenaline, meant he could finish the match albeit probably in a pretty good amount of pain.

I thought he was on the mat for awhile after he tore it and they finished it kinda without him and a quick pin.

Either way, it just furthers my point. These guy are in such good shape and are jacked up on so much adrenaline that it's not a stretch at all for them to finish their match under conditions that would make a normal person just lay down and cry.

Rock was suppose to get beat up by Brock to start something for next years Mania . Rock didn't act like he his abs were hurting because in pretty sure he would be in pain if it was detached or whatever . You can tell after the match at mania he was pissed

Personally, I'm not going to question someone in his line of work whether or not he's injured. Just because he kept the match going doesn't mean he wasn't in incredible pain. And since it's his body, I'd believe him over some writers that said he left because he was pissed.
