The problem with The Rock's injury is that they lost control of the story. Obviously WWE has a bigger reach as a whole than internet sites, so the official story will replace the internet's "took his ball and went home" story, but it didn't have to get as far as it did. No actual news on the injury until the start of Raw was an odd move when they could have done a general "Rock was injured, will update as info is available" type of story earlier in the day.

Also odd that he didn't appear injured at all at WrestleMania. I'm sure adrenaline plays a HUGE part in that, but common sense says that just as a human being, you'll react to being hurt.

Not saying he's not injured (His storyline's over, so he was probably taking a break again anyway. No need to make up an injury.) - but it seems like there's more to this story.

If you ask me, people are just trying to make something out of nothing. For starters, The Rock has never been known as anything but a good guy behind the scenes. I can't imagine him just walking out. But of course people are always going to side with the more interesting story.

I'm guessing the most likely story is that he is hurt but there was some miscommunication leading to some WWE officials not realizing he had gone home until the last minute. That is what makes the most sense to me anyway.

If you ask me, people are just trying to make something out of nothing. For starters, The Rock has never been known as anything but a good guy behind the scenes. I can't imagine him just walking out. But of course people are always going to side with the more interesting story.

My biggest issue with the Rock in this case was why did it come until 3:00 PM EST (5 hours before RAW) especially when he had the start of a feud with Brock coming up? You could tell in some of the booking that it was re-done (Look at the Twitter Poll and Orton/Sheamus match making the poll redundant), but the crowd made up for that.

I heard he also had a sports hernia. Might have been from all those Rock Bottoms he did. Seemed to extend his abdomen alot.

I thought he was on the mat for awhile after he tore it and they finished it kinda without him and a quick pin.

Either way, it just furthers my point. These guy are in such good shape and are jacked up on so much adrenaline that it's not a stretch at all for them to finish their match under conditions that would make a normal person just lay down and cry.

Like the people who think he's making it up or think this report is BS.

Either that or they knew all along he was hurt and wasn't going to appear, but the word got out and made it seem like something it was not. Initial reports of stories are almost always extremely misleading or exaggerated. WWE probably still was in panic mode even if they knew way beforehand though. That was a huge angle with two stars they were setting up and they had to scrap it the day of the show.

That said I still wonder why he couldn't have appeared to cut a promo, but I won't question him in that regard. He's the one that's dealing with it.

Triple H then comes out and talks about his war at WrestleMania with Brock Lesnar. 3MB interrupts and tries to steal Triple's thunder. They start to go after Triple H when the Shield's music hits. The Shield takes out 3MB and they circle around Triple H. Kane's music hits and Team hell no comes out and the Shield retreats. Triple H then hit a pedigree on Heath Slater and they cleared the ring of 3MB. Team Hell No tries to hug Triple H. Triple H doesn't want to hug Bryan but he's okay with Kane. He tells Bryan to eat a piece of meat instead of vegetables because he is edgy. He says he has no problem hugging kane and that he gets along with kane. He brings up their weird history and Katie Vick, saying that they were young and needed money. Then Vince comes out and HHH says if anyone needs a hug, it's Vince. Vince then leaves after teasing going through with it.

Bryan quickly apologizes and tells him to hug Kane. Triple H then jokes that he wished the Shield come back out and finish him off. Triple H then hugged Kane and Bryan joined in. Triple H said that he felt violated. Crowd loved this segment, lots of laughs during it.

Not sure how much that will make it to air but hopefully the whole thing.

Ziggler talks about cashing in and how it is his time. He is interrupted by Jack Swagger, when Zeb says that Swagger wants a shot. Out comes Alberto Del Rio, who is limping, and Ziggler gets upset about being interrupted. Chris Jericho makes his way to the stage and makes fun of Dolph. He calls his fans "dolphins." The main event is set for Chris Jericho vs. Dolph Ziggler for the world title tonight.

Oh I cannot wait for the two months of bitching about Jericho getting an unearned title shot. Though I'm sure there'll be some new qualifier for why this is okay but Royal Rumble wasn't.

Maybe because, you know, he's actually wrestled weekly for the past 2 months. I mean, Mark Henry was almost handed a title shot on Monday night. That was going to be a wicked ****storm.

That's really not what I've been seeing so far, but it has only been two days. We'll see if it stays that way. As for questioning goh, yeah I did question whether he quit watching because he's still making comments. If you wanna take issue to my Jericho comment here fine but don't bring up a response from the other thread where he was still doing exactly what we're discussing right now as if I was trolling him for no reason.
