Yea, but Big Show moved over months ago. Kane just came back.

Really, they don't explain any of the moves any more. I sure hope it is just a matter of time before the brand split is over.

With Smackdown superstars appearing on Raw weekly now, it essentially is. It's more for house show purposes than anything else

But it doesn't carry over to Smackdown as often (maybe a match or so involves a Raw superstar) and Raw cut back this past week, or at least it seemed like it. Maybe, just maybe, there will be a title unification match at Wrestlemania, but I'm not seeing that happen.

It would give them a heck of a lot more time to build a feud, too. And would make a lot of people watch Smackdown if they knew Cena or Punk's storyline would be advanced.

And, for the love of everything, take it off Fridays.

It's not going to move from Fridays... but yes, they should take advantage of it. Brand extension just killed feud development. ~4 shows, PPV, rinse, repeat. I guess we should be thankful, though. There would probably be almost half a year of nothing if the brand extension was over. They'd have all the feuds wrapped up by Summerslam if they had 8+ shows between most PPV's.

4 shows per ppv was how it was a long time before the brand extension. I think there was only about two years where both shows shared one roster.

As far as moving off Fridays, I think it will. I believe the Live Tuesday specials are test runs. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Smackdown was only moved to Fridays because Viacom was upset that RAW was going back to USA, and the CW wanted Smallville and Supernatural on the premium Thursday slot after the WB/UPN merger.

But before Smackdown and only 1 major show, they didn't cram 2 PPV's in October and push the whole schedule together. Getting rid of that would clear up the schedule just a bit.

And for it being a test run, seems odd how they've done all of I think 3 in a year and one of them was because of Christmas in 2010. And really, the Christmas special this year (which was way too early) was also on a Tuesday. If you are going to do test runs, get it away from holidays.

Well they need to scrap one of those anyway. 3 shows to build a PPV isn't enough. But I think the way PPV's are handled is going to change a lot more with the network.

When/if Smackdown moves from Friday is entirely up to SyFy. They aren't going to preempt regular programming for Smackdown, so it gets it's chances in the summer or around the holidays, during hiatus. If SDis going to move permanently, it won't happen until September, likely. But it should. Being on Friday not only affects rights, but dvr viewership isn't very good either.

I haven't watched Smackdown in years. It being on Friday night is the sole reason.

I prefer it on Friday. If it was on Tuesday or Thursday, I probably wouldn't even tape it as there are other things on. There is nothing on TV-wise Fridays so works for me. If I miss it, I just watch it the next day on DVR. As long as it is treated as the B-show, though, it won't matter what day it is on. The draft should hopefully benefit them again, but I would not be surprised if any stars they have come April, June or whenever are shipped over to Raw. I thought my dream came true when Cena was drafted to Smackdown so I would have a reason to not watch, and then they crushed those.

I tape it every week and normally delete it. I rarely watch it over the weekend because I'm watching football, etc.

He likes to get a rise out of people by talking about how much he hates Orton and greatly exaggerating Orton's flaws. It's kinda his shtick.
