It was asked, but in my opinion if it doesn't happen then the PPV era doesn't take off the way it has. If that is a good thing or a bad thing I can't tell you.

What if WCW bought out ECW before the WWE bought out WCW?

The ECW brand would've been ruined. Yeah it was already going down the tubes financially but ECW was always known for being hardcore and having very edgy storylines. ECW being under the Turner umbrella would've been watered down to the point that the Philly Faithful would've turned their back on the product.

LOL I was waiting to post this! I wanted someone else's feedback, but I'll give mine.

He would've beaten Flair for the title, no Dusty finishes. JCP would've been able to ride the momentum from having the number two babyface in the country for awhile. Feuds with all the Horsemen and probably Nikita would've sold out everywhere.

Sting might not have been pushed, at least in the manner he was. Luger probably wouldn't have even been brought in, since he was pretty much Magnum's replacement. Dusty would've probably turned heel eventually (hard to imagine, but he was booed in some places against Flair) and most likely never went to WWF.

A national expansion wouldn't have been as disastarous. They would've rebuilt the towns and cities they lost with all the Dusty Finishes. They really would've been able to run with Vince a lot longer than they did.

Now would JCP be able to stay in business? Not with the way they spent money. But the sale to Turner wouldn't have happened in '88. That accident changed history in such a huge way.

If Pillman were alive he'd prolly be slowly phased out for younger talkent...prolly had a Heavyweight title run...Although would be good to see him go at it on the stick with guys like Cena, Kennedy...& guys like Rock, Foley...Pillman could do a good promo if his mind was right.

Triple H doesn't wrestle pigs and is pushed sooner than he initially was, he was really the only one effected.

What is The Rock made it in the NFL?

                  Re: The What if Game

Actually, the curtain call had a big effect on wrestling (in my opinion, of course). Triple H was slated to win King of the Ring, and as a result of his de-push, he did not win. Who did, you may ask? Steve Austin, who then proceeded to give the now-infamous Austin 3:16 speech. So it is possible that no curtain call = no Stone Cold.

Anyways if the Rock made it in the NFL, I truely believe it would have only slowed down his wrestling entrance by 10-15 years.

What if John Cena quit wrestling, today?

Wrestling fans the world over would rejoice. Seriously though, the WWE would lose its most marketable star and would see a ratings decline.

What if Triple H didn't get hurt at New Year's Revolution, where would DX be now?

One of two things happens, either Wrestling as we knew it died as a whole, or WCW becomes huge. Either way the WWF was out of business.

What if Jimmy Snuka didn't jump from the top of the cage?

Probably would not see the high flyers were do in the ring these days.

What if Goldberg hadn't ended Bret Hart's career with that kick to the head.

There certainly wouldn't be a Mick Foley that's for sure. Overall tho, I think the rise in hardcore type wrestling wouldn't have happened. We would've seen a more mexican/japanese type of atleticism in wrestling tho. So we'd see more high flying stuff but not to the point that you get "holy crap" moments. Remember even before Snuka took that dive he was one of the few guys to have aerial moves so it's the natural progression of things.

What if Verne Gagne had been wiser and paid Hulk Hogan a bigger contract, a slice of the royalties and given him a run with the AWA belt?
