What if Samoa Joe had been signed by the WWE around the time they signed CM Punk?
I know GIGGAS already answered this, but now is the perfect time for the fantasy booking idea that I've had for the past year.

Joe would've been called up from OVW sooner, let's say right after Backlash last year. The Raw after the show, Edge and Triple H would join forces just to soften up Cena. Not a tag team or an alliance, just two guys who want to beat the Champ. They would be beating on him in the ring when all of a sudden a fat guy with a fitted on backwards jumps into the ring. He helps Cena but is quickly taken away by security. The ring clears and Cena looks at the fat guy being led away and is in shock. It's his good friend, Joe.

Next week on Raw, Cena brings him out an introduces him to the crowd. His character would be sort of like Cena, minus the Superman push. He'd feud with Triple H for a bit, lose and go nuts. He'd get obbessed with revenging his loss and "taking back wrestling for the good guys". Cena warns him to chill and asks what happened to the happy go lucky cool guy he knew for the past few years. He turns and has a nice long feud with Cena.

The appeal with Joe would be that he was normal. An old friend of Cena's that had to come to his friend's defense.

    Yeah, like I said...fantasy.

His style would've been more hard hitting and less finesse. Flair was a body builder brawling type before the crash. Heck, now that I think about it, we may have never seen him as The Nature Boy...

He'd be a superstar, assuming he is pushed right. His athleticism is amazing, he could be a unique champ. Maybe they could just find him a valet or manager who can use the mic.

What if Diesel went to WCW and Razor Ramon resigned with WWF.

If Razor Ramon resigned there would have never been an nWo. They wouldn't have as much for Nash without Hall. There wouldn't have been a DX either.

What if Jeff Hardy never got fired by WWE?

He would've quit. Around the time he was fired he wanted to pursue a music career. He would've quit to do that.

What if British Bulldog stayed in WWF after Montreal? (Yeah I'm reaching, but what else is left?)

Owen would be tagging with him full time instead with Jarrett.

What if Shawn Michaels never had his back injury back in 98?

HHH would've had a hell of a hard time becoming "The Game". Michaels would've continued to hog the spotlight and might not have found god.

What if Ric Flair HAD gone with the gladiator gimmick they tried to push on him in the 90's?

Then one of the greatest wrestlers who wrote the book on how to be an uber heel would have been lost on my generation of wrestling fans. Either that, or Herd would have been fired immediately after the gimmick tanked and it would be ignored like a David Arquette title reign (still makes me shudder).

What if ROH blows up on the national scene and earns a TV deal this time next year?

They will end up changing their style and lose their "cult" fan base. ROH promos and such aren't for the masses, neither is watching a 45-minute match where the outcome is determined.
