Exactly. The brain is a strange thing. IF it is a murder-suicide I would guess Benoit was probably severely depressed and wasn't thinking rationally. You can't try to explain the actions of someone who suffers from severe depression with logic or reason...their brain simply cannot comprehend how a normal, healthy brain comprehends.

I disagree completely. The only way Benoit doesn't deserve a tribute show is if he was a psychopath and enjoyed murder or torturing others. Obviously he's not a psychopath or something would have surfaced much sooner. Again, I'm guessing here, but he probably suffered from severe depression and if that's the case his brain wasn't functioning properly.

    Very sad.

This goes to show that no matter how great someone is at their profession and how great they come off as a person, that all it takes is one single f'd up event for them to quite possibly ruin their entire legacy.

In his Raw confessional, he disclosed that he visited the Benoit house last week, and they let him stay at his house. Apparently he had dinner and such.

Suffering from severe depression does not excuse someone who has killed their son and wife. If he just killed himself that would be one thing but taking others with you is something completely different.

                Cronic/Severe Depression....

Unless you've gone through that it's impossible for anyone to understand it.
Reasoning and Logic just aren't two things that compute. It takes a lot of medication, which doens't always work, and a lot of therapy to get things on track. A lot of people that suffer from it don't have any warning signs. They do their jobs, they act like they normally do, and the function. A lot of times people that suffer from it stay in denial that anything is wrong until it's to late.

                God only knows what happened.

Personally I didn't know the guy and I won't and I won't pass judgement on him. There's reasons for everything, but murdering people isn't something you can easily justify.

As far as his profession, he'll still be one of my favorite wrestlers of all time.

Yeah, but then why would this put Chavo in the middle of this like somebody said?

With all this moderation against the speculation, what category does the "family emergency" with the vomiting blood thing fall into? Was that ever confirmed?

I've always liked Benoit. I guess not as much as some of you. Since I didn't know him, I'm not really feeling anything except curiosity and sadness for the loss of human life. Tragic circumstance, to say the least.

You do realize clinical depression can cause psychotic disorders (psychosis being one of them)? IF his depression was in a very advanced state of clinical depression he logically may not have understood what he was doing.

And before somebody says he could have gotten help depression is under diagnosed pretty frequently.

                        Not by anyone reputable.

And like I stated above there's not always a quick and easy cure for it.
You need to ADMIT there's a problem before you get help. Others might have seen it, but from the sounds of it and people that say they knew him (on this site and other sites and the WWE guys) no one is saying he was acting any different than normal. If that's the case it was something that was building inside and at that point there is NOTHING anyone or any pill can help cure.

Since it has been ruled a double homicide -suicide I have no need to post here anymore Im disgusted at him for that ..Unless they can prove somebody made benoit do it by standing over his shoulder. Until then ...Im done..

Just goes to show you that the WWE Wellness Program is a crock of ****. Not their fault though. It also goes to show you that modern medicine is a LONG way from being where it needs to be in terms of diagnosing and treating this type of illness, whether it's what Benoit was going through or not.

If you haven't suffered from depression, you really shouldn't make statements like that. It's not something easily dealt with, and sometimes the symptoms are well hidden, even to the sufferer.
