Great match between Miz & Morrison this week. Lucky looked his best this week just before he was eliminated too. Sad that there'll be 2 gone next week. That means one of the great ones goes. It'd be better to leave 4 and have a mini-tourny. I'm sure they'll find their way onto Raw or SD! anyway.

Re: WWE: NXT Thread
I actually think all 5 of the remaing deserve a shot. They all bring something different to the table. I think they will all have successful singles or tag careers and all will hold belts.
- PrimeTime is probably one of the better rookies on the Mic (2nd to riley), good athelete in the ring (needs to show more moves), gimmick that can grow on you (seems to really believe in the gimmick as well). Needs to expand his gimmick a bit.
- Alex Riley is the best on the mic, good in the ring, perfect heal persona. Love the finisher.
- Husky can move well in the ring for his size. The guy is not cut from the same mold as the others and I think it works for him. Not too mad on the mic either.
- Perfect has the look and seems to be good at all aspects. I don't think that her is great at anything, though. Seems to be missing a certain...I don't know what...
- Kaval is a beast in the ring. Monotone voice is really the only issue and his size may prevent him from being a main eventer.
Of course, these are all my opinion. They all need some work. My favorite is Kaval, since I have seen him wrestle outside of NXT and am glad he is finally getting a shot. If one guy, though, has the edge at being a world champion, it's Riley. The guys that have been eliminated thus far should have been. I think Lucky may do well in a tag team, though. Maybe join the Nexus. Eli cottonwood maybe being someones enforcer. Titus...get a day job.Comment

Re: WWE: NXT Thread
Looking at it from championship material standpoint...
Percy - Can't see him winning one of the big ones but could have a good IC or US run.
Husky - I dunno. Could certianly win a tag title with someone. Would be good in a stable but joining SES doesn't make sense and Nexus is probably off limts so
Lucky - Team him up with Slater after Nexus is done. They can name their team Compeltely Average.
Eli - Nope. As I mentioned before great bodyguard type though. If Morrison goes heel it'd be perfect. HBK/Diesel all over again.Help win a title.
Kaval - I could see him winning the title on SD. No doubt for IC/US. Questionable for Raw.
Titus - I can't even see him being back.
McGillicutty - As a heel I could see him winning one of the big ones, doesn't seem to quite have it as a face yet. As a face could easily have a very, very, very long high quality US/IC run. After that he might be a credible WC.
Riley - Should be great with any title they wanna give him on SD or Raw.Comment

Re: WWE: NXT Thread
Kaval botched the hell out of his finisher this week... didn't even come close. Right now, A-Ri is ranked last, which scares me. He is one of my top favorite wrestlers in all of the WWE right now... if he gets eliminated, I hope they find a creative way to bring him back... and soon.
My plan... have him fake a fight with the Miz during his Raw appearance, setting up a Riley vs. Miz match. Riley says something about Miz putting that decorative shoulder piece that he never defends on the line, and Miz is so confident he puts his belt up. During the match, Miz takes a dive and Riley is the new U.S. champ. He gets eliminated from NXT the next night due to the fans and pros disgust at how he won the belt. However, since he holds the U.S. title, the laptop awards him a WWE contract the following week on Raw, not wanting someone not under contract holding a belt.
All THAT said, I think Miz is going to screw team WWE and reveal himself as the leader of Nexus at Summerslam (No spoilers, just seems like the obvious direction they're heading), which if true, means he'll have other matters to attend to on Raw.Comment

Re: WWE: NXT Thread
Pretty good show of NXT. Had a good ending, and I am rooting for Kaval. Either way, I like all three of the guys remaining. Riley and Michael are both great on the mic and definitely have room to grow in the ring.
I like the tease of teaming Kaval with Lay-cool after this. They are good on the mic, and he comes off as awkward a lot of times. The less Kaval talks, the better for him.
Still though Percy and Husky still should have a spot on the roster. Percy is charismatic, someone mentioned the idea in the Raw thread that he should team back up with Young. Sounds like a great idea, especially considering WWE has a total of about 3 legit tag teams and the other two you hardly ever see on SD or Raw.Comment

Re: WWE: NXT Thread
After this week, it seems like Kaval is a sure-thing to win it all. I'm really not a fan of him at all, and cannot see him as a future world champion. I'm glad that Riley remains on the show (my pick) and I am hoping that he can pull off the major upset, but I doubt it. I just hope they find something for him immediately after he gets eliminated.Comment

Re: WWE: NXT Thread
I had a feeling it would be Percy and Husky eliminated tonight. Percy will go back to FCW and tag with Darren Young again, or maybe be brought up to the main roster as a tag team soon. And if they are going replace Young in the Nexus I think Husky fits. So It came together nicely there.
Now it makes me wonder if they actually use the fans votes or not.Comment

Re: WWE: NXT Thread
Husky seems like more of a sure thing to join Nexus, but now I think Kaval might be the one who goes into Nexus (assuming he doesn't win). It just seems like a perfect fit. He could be a bit of an outsider (the TNA stuff this week by Cole and Kaval are intriguing for example, and so was Kaval calling Michael by his real name Joe -- since he is Joe Hennig after all). On top of that, you had both announcers turning on Kaval. And plus his whole persona is something entirely different from what he's ever been before. He could transform back into the straight up warrior and be a good worker/extra muscle in Nexus. I mean for as good as Nexus looked at SummerSlam, they still need a top-notch worker to replace Danielson, and Kaval fits that mold and also is a small but beastly man like Danielson -- just doesn't have Bryan's mic skills.
Either that or he possibly ends up helping Danielson out by rolling him into the Miz/Danielson/Riley feud that I have high hopes for in the coming weeks/months.
PS, I think McGillicutty wins only because Kaval and Riley are already made. They'll have immediate futures when this show ends, but I don't think Michael would.Last edited by ChaseB; 08-18-2010, 01:11 PM.I won't ask for Christmas or birthday gifts if you subscribe to the Operation Sports Newsletter (Not Just Another Roster Update). Re: WWE: NXT Thread
I think Riley wins. Bryan will get the US title off Miz and then Riley cashes in on him. Best story that can come out of it.
Forgot to mention I liked Husky's promo last night. Good thing he's...husky...cause those are some big boots to fill. Perhaps he'll team with Cody? I'm sure they'll find something for him.Comment
