I must say I was hoping that Benoit was behind the Spoiler tag.

I just finished Over the Limit in my universe. Since Fatal 4 Way is one of the worst theme PPVs in wrestling history IMO I'm replacing it with King of the Ring. I just wish that fatigue/injury carried over if you booked someone in multiple matches on a card so I could have the semis and final on the PPV but oh well. It would be nice if they added that next year.

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

Decided to restart my Universe. Downloaded CAWs of all the WWE employees not in the game (plus Jericho), devised my own brand split, and simmed up to the Royal Rumble.

Simmed the first five matches. I had edited the first three, but let the game book the WWE/WHC matches. I used matches #1 and #2 as "Dark Matches"....just fillers of superstars I didn't plan on using in the Rumble

      Match #1 - "Dark Match"

      Johnny Curtis defeats Yoshi Tatsu

      Match #2 - "Dark Match"

The Usos defeat Epico & Primo

Match #3 - Divas Championship, Over the Top Rope Battle Royal

Kharma defeats Beth Phoenix (c), Kelly Kelly, Eve

Match #4 - World Heavyweight Championship

      Randy Orton (c) defeats Christian

      Match #5 - WWE Championship

CM Punk (c) defeats Big Show

      Match #6 - 40-Man Royal Rumble

So I booked this with 19 superstars from each brand and two legends. For my legends, I pulled HHH and HBK. I didn't really plan to use either of them at all in this Universe outside of the rare match here and there.

Well what do you know. Out come HHH and HBK as #1 and #2 in the Royal Rumble. HHH eliminates HBK about 20 seconds in.

I had selected Dolph Ziggler at the beginning of the match and put the draw on "Random". I come out at #17 and lasted until around when #34 came out. After getting eliminated, I was going to just let it play out.

But then Alex Riley came in at #38. He eliminates Sin Cara and Goldust almost immediately. I had seen this before....Riley won the RR in my previous universe. So had to make a choice...watch it play out and pray he doesn't win again? Or jump in at #40 and take him out?

At #40, I join the match as Ezekial Jackson. So the final six at this point are Alex Riley, Ted DiBiase, Mark Henry, Daniel Bryan, John Cena, and me. I immediately go to work on Riley to prevent him winning again and take him out. Not wanting to use Henry as a main-eventer either, I toss him out next. As this is happening, Cena eliminates DiBiase

So we're down to Daniel Bryan, John Cena, and Ezekial Jackson. I was going to just have one of them eliminate me and let the AI fight it out to see who won. But really, who wants to see Cena win again? I throw him out with Zeke, then allow Daniel Bryan to pick up the victory and earn a shot at (hopefully) CM Punk at Wrestlemania.

      -------------------

Due to the game putting HBK/HHH at #1 and #2, I think I'm going to bring them back to Raw and put them in a major feud leading up to a match at Elimination Chamber. And then they'll have even bigger plans for Wrestlemania...

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

I have a really good cross brand feud going on at the moment, Kane who's on RAW and the Undertaker who's on Smackdown, Rey Mysterio is the third man involved.

Kane and Rey have been facing each other for just over a month with Taker interferring in nearly every match.

Week 1 - Kane-Rey : Taker interferes and nails Rey

        Week 2 - Kane-Rey : Taker comes out ringside on Kane's side

Week 3 - Kane-Rey : Kane and Taker celebrate Kane's win and Taker turns on Kane and nails him with a chair

Week 4 - Kane-Rey : Taker attacks Kane before the match by hiding in the crowd and popping up to nail Kane on his entrance.

Week 5 - Rey-Taker : Taker attacks Rey from behind to start the match, After Taker's win Taker goes to take Rey out with a chair but Kane runs down to rescue Rey.

        On Smackdown

        - Rhodes and Sheamus have a good feud going
        - Henry and Big Show still fuding for the Heavyweight Title

I am about two weeks from Money in the Bank.

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

Still loving the game, and it's still taking up a ton of time. I'm currently at Fatal 4 Way, where they only F4W match is the main event.

Before I get to the PPV, just want to air one grievance (being festivus and all). In a tag team match, or a handicap match, I have had many times where the ref bars partners to the back and it becomes a one on one match, though still referred to as a tag team match by the announcers. Occasional when this happens and I'm simulating, one of the wrestlers constantly goes to the corner attempting to make a tag to the partner that is no longer there. Not a deal breaker, but annoying.

I have three non-title matches of the six matches, which is a bit annoying, but I haven't done any edits yet, and I think I'll stick with this. I am upset that my WHC Mark Henry does not have a match, as he has been plowing through everything in site, and having a run-in after matches to beat up the victory in seemingly 50 percent of the matches on Superstars and Smackdown.

          I watch all ppvs -

Match 1 - Edge v. Mason Ryan v. Sheamus Edge is a face and the other tow guys big heals, Edge beat Ryan at the last Smackdown before this PPV and Sheamus beat Sin Cara so not a bad way to kick it off.

Edge and Mason Ryan take turns doing their finishers to Sheamus, which was pretty cool. Then Ryan makes the pin and Edge just stands there and does anything. This one surprised me.

          Winner - Mason Ryan

United States Championship - The Miz (c) v. Kozlov. Both of these guys are heels. Miz has held the title since he won a 3-way for the title at WrestleMania. Taker was champ but wasn't pinned. BTW Undertaker has not made one appearance since Mania (sounds familiar).

Miz takes control from the start and after a few minutes hits his finisher. He goes for the pin only to have Kozlov get the rope break. The match goes outside where Kozlov lands a ton of big moves and they get into the ring with about a second to spare. Kozlov lands his finisher and gets this pin and we have a totally unexpected new US Champion. I hope unlike Taker, Miz keeps getting matches and hopefully goes after the WWE Championship.

Winner - New US Champion Kozlov.

Triple Threat - Orton v. Swagger v. Mysterio

I was very close to editing this match because none of these guys are currently in the top 12 rankings of either belt and I can't think of one story line they are involved in.

Rey Mysterio won it after getting the crap beat out of him for most of the ten minute match. He won on his powerbomb into a pin which was cool.

          Winner - Rey Mysterio

I.C. Title - Ezekiel Jackson (c) vs. Kane. This is one of the better storylines going. Last Smackdown before the ppv is was Jackson and Gabriel vs. Kane and Big Show. After the match Big Show went to beat down Zeke some more and Kane stepped in and beat up Big Show but didn't touch Zeke. I liked it cause it suggested Kane wants Zeke at his best when he meets him for the title. (Of course I didn't know they would be fighting for the title, but hindsight makes it cool.)

Zeke has been my I.C. Champion since I think the very beginning. If not, he won it at an early Smackdown or PPV. He's also in the top 5 of the rankings for the WHC and Tag Team Titles, so in short he's a beast in my Universe. With that...

The Winner and new champion via domination and chokeslam = Kane. Hate to see Zeke not be the champion anymore, but he may be moving on to bigger things.

John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio

I think it's obligatory that these two show up on every ppv regardless of how they are performing in the universe. ADR was a player for a while but isn't now, and Cena has never been in the title hunt in my universe.

Match - In the first cut scene of the PPV ADR attacks Cena during his intro to start the match. ADR takes the action to the ring where he beats on Cena for a few minutes, then after a powerbomb gets the win. Cena never even took his shirt off this match. Since it's a match I didn't really want I'm glad it went quick, but also probably means ADR is back to getting prime television spots on Raw.

          Main Event - Big Show (c) v. C.M. Punk v. 90's Sting v. Rock in a Tables Match

90's Sting is the first CAW that I've had that's gotten any kind of major push, so that's pretty cool. He's also a bad guy. Also a bad guy is Big Show, who almost has a full momentum bar and just a general bad *** in my Universe. C.M. Punk has been close to the top of the rankings for the title, but I think this is his first shot at the title, and Rock is maybe a .500 wrestler in my universe but has been in the top 5 in the title picture since day 1.

Match - Within 30 seconds there is a table in the ring. Big Show puts punk on the table and gets attempts to splash him from the turnbuckle but Punk moves and Big Show goes through the table. For a second I was bummed but the match continues. Big Show shakes it off and within another 30 seconds goes outside and gets another table into the ring.

Rock leans a table in the corner and fights with CM Punk while Sting and Big Show move to the outside. BS and Sting come inside and do a bunch of moves to each other close to the table but eventually move away. C.M. Punk puts Rock in the Vise for the longest I've seen a submission move held in this game. As Rock gets up, Big Show knocks him out with his punch. Sting throws the Rock into the table but it doesn't break but he leans against it. CM Punk lifts him up into a suplex position and slams him through the table for the victory. Very good match for one that I thought would be over in 30 seconds. What saved the PPV a bit is as Punk is celebrating Henry comes out with his title belt and strikes CM Punk with it. Perhaps this is setting up a title vs. title match down the road. Or, as mentioned Henry just likes beating people up.

Overall - Very upset at the title changes, especially considering the champions that lost were pretty dominate and all lost to people I didn't think would hold a title. My Universe turned a corner tonight and I don't know if I like it.

Sorry for the tl;dr - I'm enjoying this thread immensely and enjoy sharing my universe.

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

Placed all my TNA dudes on the Friday program and called it TNA/Impact, added nWo to it along with some legends/hacks to fill the 15 roster limit.

This means RAW & Smackdown are combined as WWE on the Monday RAW show. I changed Superstars to Smackdown, a show both WWE & TNA can show up and fight each other or continue their own feuds. Smackdown makes a cool name for that. I have the exact champions in real life, with the Bobby Roode holding the World Heavyweight title over on Impact and Austin Aires with the Light Heavyweight Title as the X-Division title. Tag champs are, of course, Matt Morgan & Crimson, and I just made Layla the Womens champ there.

RAW was the same as Monday night: Simulated Cody Rhodes over Santino, Orton over Barrett, Eva (instead of Alicia - who I don't have downloaded yet) over Beth Phoenix, and my 6-man tag ended up with Alberto Del Rio pinning Ryder.

Smackdown comes on, and here's where it got interesting. I didn't know it would jumpcut straight to the show. Is there anywhere you can go back to the menu to manually adjust the shows? I think everytime I try to set it up, it wants me to play the match, or simulate ahead. Help!

Regardless, JBL came out to open up Smackdown which is hilarious considering he's a CAW yet still comes out to his music/limo entrance. How realistic! And his opponent was X-Pac, who I lost to. Shawn Michaels ran out when the ref got knocked down but didn't do anything.

Next match was a squash I simulated. McGillicutty over Slater. Meh.

Next up The Icon Sting, Matt Morgan, and D-Von in a triple threat No DQ.... D-Von was too busy finding the tablesssss that Icon Sting slapped Morgan in the deathdrop....only to have Bully Ray run down to tend to D-Von's injuries to close out Smackdown.

Now I'm back to trying to emulate reality, with Christopher Daniels & RVD in a Wild Card Tag match against AJ Styles & Aires (replacing Kazarian who I don't have). And it ended great!!! As Styles pushed the momentum Daniels ran away to the high ramp only to begin fighting with RVD! So they lost by count-out..

Next fight I just had Kurt Angle -- accompanied by Layla -- fight Sin Cara (one of the jobbers I needed to make the 15) in a pinfalls anywhere fight. Simulated it, as well as the Layla vs. Michelle McCool fight.

Main Event...I had Bobby Roode & Bully Ray face the Hardy Boys, since Sting was accidently used on Smackdown. And, to no surprise, Bully Ray was DQ'd for using a chair.

See you next week on Spike!

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

So I did a whole lot of simming in order to get to Wrestlemania.

              Quick rundown of my champions

              WWE: CM Punk
              WHC: Randy Orton
              US: Zach Ryder
              IC: Wade Barrett
              Tag: Kofi Kingston
              Divas: Kharma.

Here's the card I'm about to run. I'm going to watch all of the matches. Making up a bit of a pre-match build for match #6, but you'll see why.

Match #1 - United States Championship

Zach Ryder (c) vs Ted DiBiase

This is a rivalry that's been going on since the Royal Rumble. DiBiase gets his final crack at taking Ryder's US title.

Match #2 - Intercontinental Championship Scramble

Wade Barrett (c) vs John Cena vs The Miz vs John Morrison vs Rey Mysterio

The game had Randy Orton set to be the #1 contender, so I decided to take the next four guys on the list. Hadn't been keeping up with this title while simming, but felt like this would be a good way to get some more Smackdown stars into the PPV.

Match #3 - World Tag Team Championship

Air Boom (c) w/ Trish Stratus vs Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger w/ Vickie Guerrero

Universe booked Air Boom vs Ziggler/Swagger itself, so running with it. Added Vickie in since she's apart of the stable and Trish (legend) in to try and keep things even.

Match #4 - World Heavyweight Championship

              Randy Orton (c) vs Christian

Christian was the winner of the #1 contenders Elimination Chamber match at the following PPV. They had a few matches on Smackdown leading up to this.

Match #5 - WWE Championship Submission Match

CM Punk (c) vs Daniel Bryan vs Alberto Del Rio

Daniel Bryan emerged victorious at the Royal Rumble, but Alberto Del Rio was ranked #1 on my rankings for a WWE title shot. Due to all three of them possessing a finisher submission hold, I decided to toss ADR into the fray.

              ------------------

HHH and HBK had been off programming until the two appeared as the first two entrants in the Royal Rumble. Instead of teaming up in the Rumble, HHH immediately threw HBK out the ring. This led to a match on the following Raw, which saw the return of masked Kane. Kane interfered, chokeslamming both men to close the show. The following week, they were placed in a triple threat match. As the bell sounded to ring, the lights went out. When the lights came back on, the Undertaker, was standing in the middle of the three men. He proceeded to take them out, before looking up to the Wrestlemania sign above.

On the following Raw, HHH, HBK, and Kane argued about who was most deserving to face the Deadman at Wrestlemania. Undertaker came out and issued a challenge. A fatal-four way match with a stipulation that if Taker won, the other three men would be forced to retire. The three went on to talk about how they had proven everything they could during their time with WWE, but the main thing all of them wanted to do was to keep Undertaker from reaching a perfect 20-0 WM record. They agreed to the match.

But Taker wasn't done. Due to being at a disadvantage with his three biggest rivals in the match, Taker decided on one final stipulation.....

Match #6 - Streak vs Careers in a Hell in a Cell

Undertaker vs HHH vs HBK vs Kane

              --------

I'll be editing Taker up to a 100 overall for this match since I'm leaving it up to the CPU to keep the streak alive.

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

Just finished my Money in the Bank PPV.

Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Kane vs Daniel Bryan vs Dolph Ziggler vs Wade Barrett vs The Miz vs Sheamus

                Winner Dolph Ziggler

**Hectic match that i really wanted to win, I managed to get the win with Ziggler thinking i'd unlock the achievement but when it never unlocked i looked it up and it says you need to do it with a CAW, I was pretty pissed at that. Anyway, It was a great match with a lot of close calls.

                World Heavyweight Championship

Big Show vs Mark Henry (C)

Winner and still World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry

**A decent match, Big Show had has chances to win it but Henry keeps finding ways to win.

                United States Championship

Rey Mysterio vs Alberto Del Rio (C)

Winner and new United States Champion Rey Mysterio

**Del Rio managed to lock on the cross arm breaker but Rey made the ropes. Mysterio hit the 619 to become the new Champion.

                Triple Threat Match

Cody Rhodes vs Christian vs Randy Orton

Winner by Cross Rhodes Cody Rhodes

Rhodes has been on a tear since losing the Intercontinental Championship and he managed to pick up the win after taking the Kill Switch and an RKO. A very back and forth match.

                Divas Championship

                Kharma vs Beth Phoenix (C)

Winner and new Divas Champion Kharma

**A surprisingly great match, My Universe hasn't booked Kharma once so i decided to edit the match to try get her involved. I had been interfering in matches on RAW and Smackdown but it never worked and she was still out the rankings.

                WWE Championship

John Cena vs CM Punk (C)

Winner and still WWE Champion CM Punk

**Unbelievable match, Match of the year so far and one that Punk really should have lost the Title. I was Punk and Cena was relentless, Punk could hardly get anything going against "Super Cena".

Punk had to kick out of three Attitude Adjustments while Cena managed to get out the Anaconda Vice and also kick out of a GTS. Punk had a finisher stored but Cena was just that hard to get anything on i was relieved when i countered a irish whip and got the roll up for the 1-2-3. I actually was counting out loud the match was that tense. Awesome.

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

                  Wrestlemania:

Opening contest, WHC: Miz (C) vs. Orton (Me). Classic back and forth match both kicking out of one of eachother's finishers, and Miz winning with a wakeup taunt into the SCF.

Tag Team Title Match: The Kings of Wrestling (C, Me) have held the belts for about 7-8 months since debuting. They took on the newly formed tag team of Mason Ryan and a recently heel turned Daniel Bryan. KoW retain after a Ricola Bomb from Cesaro.

WWE Title Match: Wade Barrett (Me) vs. John Cena (C). Another classic match, going back and forth, Wade strung together some powerful moves, only to have Cena get his comeback. I some how miracuously reveresed the AA and hit Wasteland for the win.

30 Minute Ironman Match: Seth Rollins (me) vs. Dean Ambrose, about to play now. These two have fueded for the past year and a half, whether it was over the classic IC title when they first debuted, or eventually when they made it to the main event over the WHC (Rollins winning MITB). This is the blow off match. No titles. 30 Minutes. Best man wins. Edit: I turned the momentum to slow to limit the amount of finishers. First fall came at around 12:00 when Rollins hit God's Last Gift on Ambrose out side of the ring, and at the 7 count hit a apron running hurricanrana on Ambrose and slid in to have Ambrose counted out. The second fall was Ambrose hitting Midnight Special at about 15:00. There wasn't another fall until 25:00 when Ambrose hit another Midnight Special, follow by Rollins delivering Avada Kadavra about a minute later. At 29:45 Ambrose got another finisher, and hit a 3rd Midnight Special at the 30:00 mark, for a 2-2 draw. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but definately the best match I've had on WWE 12. Now to see if I can keep this fued going for another year, and finish it at Mania haha.

Divas Title: Just like my favorite Mania of all time, X8 I had to have a divas match between the biggest match of the ppv and the main event. Kharma (C) vs. K2. Nothing really to say, expect Kharma to win. Edit: Kharma wins in the expected squash match.

Main Event. The Texas Rattlesnake vs. The Second City Saint. SCSA started interfering in Punkster's matches, and the fued built up. Both going in as faces. Not sure who I'll control, but it should be a hell of a match. I took Punk in this match, just a classic, many near falls, both reversed a finisher from the other. The only finisher executed was after I hit the high knee bulldog with Punkster, and and threw Steven in the Anaconda Vice and got him to submit.

Just had my Wrestlemania and the official end to the brand split.

Goldust beat Billy Gunn in a legends match.

ZigSwag kept the world tag titles by countout against Gabriel and Slater. By the way, if you ditch the ugly belts for one of the older titles, Demolition and the Road Warriors disappear from the rankings list.

Zeke won the World title in a championship scramble.

Lawler finally regained the WWE title he was robbed of in a championship scramble.

Daniel Bryan won a Fatal 4 Way to unify the IC and US titles. I will be restoring the European and maybe the Hardcore title off the books.

Lawler beat Jackson in a 2 out of 3 falls unification match which restores the Undisputed championship.

Raw is War and Thursday Night Heat return to the schedule the week after Wrestlemania and tickets for June's King of the Ring also go on sale soon. The Attitude and Alliance brands will be let loose soon and things will never be the same again.

TQuick question I go this game for xmas I am setting up my universe.

I put the classic version of the IC belt on Cody Rhodes, now I put "newer" IC belt on Vader (I think) in a dead brand. I looked at my champions and it shows Vader as the IC Champ. When I start my universe will Vader be recognized as the IC Champ? Thanks in advance.

                        Edit: Figured it out!

                          Money in the Bank Results

Match 1: Randy Orton vs. Sheamus vs. Mark Henry vs. Christian vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Kane in the SD MITB Ladder Match.

A fun match with highly dangerous spots that saw Christian capture the MITB briefcase.

                          Winner: Christian

Match 2: Alberto Del Rio vs. Alex Riley

With Del Rio facing the WWE Champion at Summer Slam, he needed to have a match at MITB with a "mystery opponent". Riley provided stiff competition to Del Rio, but succumbed to the Cross Arm Breaker.

                          Winner: Alberto Del Rio

Match 3: Mason Ryan (c) vs. Husky Harris for the U.S. Title.

Husky Harris tore up to competition on Superstars before defeating Mason Ryan on Raw in back-to-back weeks. Harris survived Ryan's House of Pain, but tapped out to a Single Leg Crab.

                          Winner: Mason Ryan

Match 4: Wade Barrett (c) vs. Big Show for the World Heavyweight Title.

Big Show had been screwed out of the World Title after EC by Randy Orton and ever since he fell victim to Barrett when he was distracted trying to finish off Mark Henry in multi-man matches (WM and CP). But now Barrett was forced to face Big Show one-on-one. Good match that Barrett won after doing major damage to Big Show's torso and hard irish wiping him into the exposed turnbuckle.

                          Winner: Wade Barrett

Match 5: CM Punk vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. R-Truth vs. Zack Ryder vs. Jack Swagger vs. Kofi Kingston in the Raw MITB Ladder Match.

Ziggler replaced Del Rio in this match after returning from injury. Early in the match, Kofi was tossed off the ladder falling out of the ring. Ziggler suplexed Swagger off the ladder and climbed back up the ladder to nab the briefcase.

                          Winner: Dolph Ziggler

Match 6: The Miz (c) vs. John Cena for the WWE Title.

After the fall of the nWo, Cena turned face again to go after Miz and the WWE Title. Late in the match, Cena connected with the AA, but Miz kicked out. Cena would be tossed head first into the exposed turnbuckle and Miz nailed the Skull Crushing Finale to retain the title.

                          Winner: The Miz

As it turns out, only one man can be the official "Mr. Money in the Bank" so Christian winning the SD MITB does not have him as the "Mr. MITB" only Ziggler as he won the 2nd match.

How did you end the brand split mate?

Did you just put the same titles on each brand?

I was thinking of doing this by putting the following on both brands:

                            - Unified WWE Championship
                            - Classic IC title
                            - Unified Tag Teams
                            - Divas title

                            or

                            Raw

                            - Unified WWE Championship
                            - US title
                            - Tag Team titles
                            - Divas title

                            Smackdown

                            - Unified WWE Championship
                            - Classic IC title
                            - Tag Team titles
                            - Divas title

I am not sure how trying to end the brand split would go, i read on another forum the cpu doesn't book as many title matches.

I have ended the brand split with exactly this method except IC/US titles are on the opposite shows and the Divas title is on a dead brand with the Women's title in its place. Minor differences, I realize. I have to agree about not booking title matches; I've had to book almost everything myself.
The Last of Us is the Citizen Kane of video-games. It is better than every game that has ever come before it, and is the new benchmark for all games to follow. It is nothing short of a work of art.

How does feuds play out if you are constantly editing the card?

How do you find the cpu with regards to cross brand matches? Doe the cpu book cross brand matches if they are feuding?

                                What are PPV's like?
