She didn't seem to have the best life growing up, and feels like the AE was really the best part of her life. Her life before and after that was just a trainwreck.

That trainer guy they used for most of the doc seemed weird. His muscles just looked more than just unnatural, it looked gross.

And her agent seems like a horrible person. Seems like he was just taking advantage of her that whole time. I never knew what happened after she died too. They really did an entire concert for her where they charged people for that funeral and just had her urn up there like they were at some Championship trophy celebration...

Only good part about that ending was the dolphins part (and Foley noting the fitting connection about dolphins being present for her ashes being scattered since that's what his daughter used to compare her strength to)
It was heartbreaking, yeah. It had me crying at the end with how her life just unraveled and she was never able to regain any normalcy.

I think the main difference between this doc and the Ultimate Warrior hit piece is that everyone put Chyna over as a talent/person. Her relationship with Paul just ended and for whatever reason, she never found happiness/peace after.

And I think Chyna and Sean Waltman loved each other, but their relationship was toxic as **** and codependent.

On a side note, try not to judge people in the fitness industry too harshly. I would hazard a guess that many of them likely have undiagnosed body dysmorphia. To a "normal" person he looks odd but in his mind, he looks fine or should be even "bigger."

I'm surprised they didn't get JR for that doc though. Although they basically covered what he would've said anyways, but he was the one negotiating with Chyna before she left.

I guess she just wanted to be done with wrestling altogether? Or she valued herself so highly that she didn't even think of continuing wrestling somewhere else like TNA or ROH.

I just finished up watching May 2001 shows and they didn't even mention anything about Chyna leaving. Too bad they didn't have her put over Lita before leaving. That was her final feud, and probably could've had Lita win in a hardcore match so that Chyna loses, but not "clean" since it took Lita using weapons to win. But that seemed like too much work for creative and the womens division at the time.

If she did continue, I wonder what would've even happened. You entered the Invasion with names like Torrie and Stacy being the main women coming in, neither of which would be worth Chynas time. But she would've been done with Lita, and Trish wasn't good enough by that time either.

Interesting tweet from Bayley which talks about the infamous "Sasha and Bayley crying after losing and sitting in the hallway of their hotel room" story from WM a few years back.

I always thought it was made up/exaggerated, but it really happened? And Trish was there talking to them for a lot of that time.

A&E this week features a Kane doc and HHH vs Batista on WWE Rivals (another reason I thought Batista would've gone in the HOF this year).

Say what you want about Kane's life after WWE, but it'll be interesting to hear especially about the AE stories, and things leading up to him unmasking. A bunch of those stories have been told already, and A&E even showed videos before of Kane unmasked backstage during the AE, but I wonder if we'll see some additional footage.

I barely followed any Chyna stories over the years, the only thing about her agent/manager I remember hearing about in the past was them filming her documentary and filming the moments leading up to them finding her in her apartment. Not even sure if they filmed anything beyond when they walked through the door (or if A&E or Vice for the dark side of the ring episode would even show it), but that alone was already a major red flag. Can't believe the things that happened afterwards too.

From what we've seen of this guy in both the WWE A&E bio and the VICE doc...do you think there's any chance he stopped filming? I 100% guarantee he filmed finding her.

That's what I'm thinking. But obviously A&E and Vice wouldn't show that for various reasons.

The Kane documentary was a reminder that they made Bret Hart wrestle Isaac ****ing Yankem at Summerslam.

I was most confused by the quick clip of Isaac Yankem vs Ultimate Warrior. I have absolutely no recollection of those two ever crossing paths.

But Bret, whether it was revisionist history or the truth, said he was almost coaching/teaching in the ring during that match. But still goes to show that as good as the talent they had were back then, there were so many wasted stories. Bret as good as he was, how much bigger would he have been if he had been in an era with more stars around him.

The Yankem vs Undertaker one was weird to me. Especially hearing Undertaker even cutting a promo on Yankem.

The Kane character is probably one of the best ones to not have internet for. Imagine fans in the 90s being like "what's the mystery behind the mask? He's just Fake Diesel/Isaac Yankem, here's the pics of him already unmasked on Raw"

Those were lean years. The hangover after the end of the 80s steroid boom. Doing Raws in high school gyms lol. Also, occupation gimmicks all over the place. And they couldn't decide who to stick with as the top guy.

                          Spoiler

And interesting episode next week for the A&E docs.

They're doing an episode on Paige. I guess it makes sense since they probably produced these things last year, and she didn't go to AEW until September, so this whole thing probably just ends once her time in WWE wraps up, although it'll be weird since I'm sure it'll probably end with her talking about not wrestling again (since at the time of filming this she was still retired and not cleared or even in AEW yet).

Jerry Lawler and Paige are the back to back episodes on Sunday.

I feel like Flair announcing this likely means he's the one inducting him too.
