Awesome news though, kinda surprised they announced the 2026 location but not the 2025 location.
Didn't even realize that while I was typing it.

2026? So no 2025 announcement? Unless they're using this one to pitch to other cities an option for 2 nights in 2025 (maybe Minnesota wasn't able to do 2 in 2025 but could for 2026).

2 night Summerslam will be weird. Those shows don't drag on so I wonder what they'll want to do with that.

TKO probably trying to turn it truly into a Summer Wrestlemania which would be great though.

If we have a "Road to Summerslam" that takes over all June and July, that'll be fun. WWE stories in the summer used to be my fave time to watch things during the Ruthless Aggression era, sometimes even beyond RTWM builds.

      Overexposure.

Way to make Wrestlemania feel less special, by having yet another unnecessarily-two-nights show happen 4 months after your supposedly main show of the year. Or are they gonna make Wrestlemania 3 nights too.

Bad enough Raw is 3 hours every week and there's Smackdown and NXT too if you want and all the regularly scheduled unnecessary PPVs like the Saudi show and all the other online crap you're expected to pay attention to.

      The NFL model, I guess.

It's demanding on people too. People with kids or wives or husbands can't just regularly take 8 hours out of their weekend to sit and watch wrestling on consecutive nights. That's an unreasonable obligation. It's not feasible. Not to mention not everyone needs to be on every show every time. PPV spots should be earned by the performers, a reward for putting in the work on a story that needs an elevated resolution or advancement. Quite frankly there isn't enough that's interesting enough to deserve PPV slotting on a 2 night show.

Summerslams have been 3.5-4 hours lately.

I could see both nights being 2.5-3 hours each instead so 5-6 hours of the show. Still a big commitment on a weekend, but WM has been a hit being 2 nights so we'll see how summerslam is too.

Having it early August does seem like not enough time between WM and SS, especially with the rumors of TKO wanting to try WM in May (which hopefully never happens).

If anything, WM should be end of March so we have all April,May,June,July between those two shows.

But I get why SS has been moved to early August. Mid-late August is usually a more popular time for people to go on vacation. All summer is busy with vacationers, but early August I guess isn't as busy.

If WWE builds a working relationship with TNA, I wonder what possibilities we could have.

Any WWE talents show up in TNA? Imagine AJ Styles just shows up there one day. Better yet, what if they get the rights to his TNA theme?

                    AJ: Or else what?

                    Aldis: Get ready to fly.

Woods and Kofi doing that would be cool. Winning all the main roster tag titles (I guess the 2 new ones still count since the lineage stayed the same), NXT one and then TNA too.

I mean the Dudleys got to win the WCW tag titles during the Invasion, New Day getting TNA tag titles during a (temporary?) partnership would feel similar to that.

I think a deal would be more a "NXTNA" thing than anything else though, but it could still work if some main roster talent want to do it.

Imagine Pearce "firing" Bron on Raw for him getting out of control and then Bron shows up in TNA.

Drew or Punk could drop a "pipebomb" and name drop TNA (Drew talks about how his TNA career was more successful than CM Punks).

Drew tweeted out a picture of him with the TNA World Title.. "The Door goes both ways." Definitely sounds like main roster talent might end up being involved.

NXT seems more likely if we happen to see people on both shows. Would feel weird seeing a main roster talent in TNA with a few hundred? fans if there's that crossover.

But maybe it's why we see people like the OC in NXT. They were part of the "TNAEW" one, maybe they do the same on NXTs side this time around?

Or take advantage of the "Becky's contract is coming up" news and Becky just pops up on TNA for an appearance.

Joe Hendry and Punk should troll Drew with this song if it does hit the main roster like the teases we are getting. This is one of my favorite songs Hendry has done and just seeing Drew trying not break is hilarious, if it wasn't for his long hair everyone would have saw him break lol.

Report coming out that WWEs current min salary for main roster talent is 350k.

If anyone is wondering why some talent are just "happy to be here" with no tv time, I'll be in catering.

We all need to go work for WWE... just to sit in catering for the new minimum pay of $350,000 for main roster talent. I'd sit in catering every week for that pay in a heartbeat. Sign me up.

Which is why you have some talent who regardless if they should be pushed or not, you don't see suddenly complain they're not getting their shot.

You either get pushed and succeed and make more money, get pushed and failed and possibly released and wind up making a fraction of that money elsewhere, or you say nothing and keep making your 350k+

The "you shouldn't be here if you don't want to be world champ" mentality is long gone. Now it's just about making a living for you and your family regardless what spot on the card you're on because even lower down people make good money.
