    Re: WWE Off-Topic

Triple H bringing up some interesting comments.

Saying that thar decibel meter was legit and its something they want to use going forward. This will be a very interesting tool if they can get it to truly represent the arena.

Fully being able to judge a crowd on noise. Being like "City A averaged 90db while City B averaged 75db." Or better yet, look at crowd reaction for each segment or superstar.

If one superstar gets the crowd to over 100db each week, that's obviously in their favour. Would almost be like analytics in a different sense for talent.

Also, a report I read online, WWE uses a special kind of electrical tape for their ring ropes? They've done it forever, but it could be a factor in people slipping like we saw with Jade. I always tonight the ropes were like a "sleeve" over the cables, almost like a garden hose type of thing. Though that wouldn't make it less slippery either, I just never knew how the ring ropes worked. But if that's the case...why can't we get red and blue ropes back?

      A&E doc on ECW.

Bubba: Anyone who wasn't part of ECW hated ECW. They all had something to say about ECW.

      *Next clip*

Jim Cornette: ECW, Extremely Crappy Wrestling (proceeds to rip ECW for the next 30 seconds).

      Perfect choice for a segue.

Also, Bad Blood coming to Atlanta in October! We could very well see a HIAC match or two for that one. Cody vs Orton in HIAC maybe?

Definitely Drew vs Punk inside HIAC... Cody vs Orton would be good too. I'm anticipating Drew vs Punk here and I've never seen a HIAC match in person. I might make the drive to Atlanta for this show.

Punk was more responding to someone suggesting him vs McIntyre be a HIAC match for their first match and Punk told them off (HIAC should end feuds, not start it).

He said he doesn't want to be in HIAC, ladder matches or any of that. Doesn't mean he won't, but would you risk it with him?

The WWE and the city of Indianapolis are close to a deal that will bring multiple events to the city starting with the 2025 Royal Rumble at Lucas Oil Stadium. Looks like they just moved it back a week and it will take place Saturday February 1st. Have to think multiple events means they will also get Wrestlemania(WM 42 in 2026?) and perhaps Summerslam in 2027.

First Anaheim got a tv show deal and now Indianapolis getting a major PLE deal. That's huge for sure. Don't think any city has ever gotten such a big deal before.

Not that I entirely think they should, but should I ask if 2 night Rumbles could become a thing top one day? You literally have 2 Rumble matches that each go 60+ mins, wouldn't be unrealistic to think Rumbles one day go to 2 nights if it's two 3 hour shows.

This is basically the new way of getting WWE to come to your city now. Pay them to come and they will bring a show to you. It's probably why Atlanta hasn't hosted Mania since WM 27, or why Charlotte or small market cities won't get a Mania, Summerslam or Rumble. Even if you include the AEW Arlington deal, it says a lot that in 2024 cities are paying for Professional Wrestling to come to their cities.

I've said it for a while, I do see Toronto doing something similar soon. Maybe it even gets announced during MITB weekend?

Rogers Centre hosting a Rumble makes too much sense. Domed stadium in the eastern timezone that will be unoccupied due to MLB offseason.

Hosted Summerslam in 2019 already, but BMO Field will be getting a huge upgrade for the 2026 World Cup. Between that and the likely 2027 MLB ASG in Toronto, we could see a Rumble 2027 at Rogers Centre and Summerslam 2028 at BMO Field perhaps?

Opens up 2025 or 2026 to see maybe a Vancouver, Montreal, Edmonton or Calgary to get a PLE? Montreal could easily get one again because of KO/Zayn, but Vancouver has a retractable roof, could easily have some big show there in 2025 or 2026.

I told myself I'd go to the next PLE in Montreal, that crowd for Elimination Chamber was insane. You think they would do a Mania in Montreal at Olympic Stadium? I could see them doing Summerslam or Rumble there if they were to bypass Toronto.

Which country could be next? Rey Mysterio talked about wanting a PLE in Mexico, they could easily do a show in Dublin with Becky as the focus similar to Rhea in Australia.

Ireland absolutely should be the next international PLE. Either the chamber or Backlash.

Way too many Irish wrestlers right now to not do it. Maybe do a UFC partnership and McGregor competes in Ireland that same weekend?

I just don't see Canada getting a Wrestlemania again, but Olympic Stadium and BC Place would be the only 2 options really they have.

So, I was messing around with a new phone update and making Wrestling cards. I randomly threw these two together, and it got me thinking.

I really wish we could have seen Abyss feud with the likes of Cena, Taker, and Kane in the WWE!

Kayla is leaving WWE. Next week's her last week. Seems she got some new job in LA.

That's one thing that does suck about announcers/interviewers. If they're not good they might stick around for so long because they have nothing else outside of WWE. If they're good, they eventually find a bigger opportunity elsewhere.

They already had Kathy and Jackie on Raw and Byron/Kayla on SD. Guess they'll need someone new for Smackdown. Nobody on NXT has been good. It's nice when you have an interviewer like a Renee, McKenzie (who definitely would've been next in line to get called up with Kayla gone) and others who have actual personalities and talk to the superstars like real people and not just be mic stands.

I guess because he's a TNA creation he can't be used, but would've been fun to have him even just for a cameo, like during Halloween even.

There's so many TNA talent that WWE should've gotten in the late 00s/early 10s but they just hated so much about non WWE talent that they didn't care about them.

Paul Heyman couldn't catch a cold at this point even if he tried. First, he loses his Tribal Chief and now he's losing Kayla. Condolences to Paul and his family in these tough times.

He even said he was offered a match with The Undertaker at a Wrestlemania, but turned it down due to wanting to show loyalty to TNA or something like that. We missed out on a lot of potential good matches if some of those talent came over even for a little bit. Like, how do you turn down a Undertaker match, let alone a Undertaker match at Wrestlemania?

If I recall, isn't Chris Parks an agent for WWE or was he let go over the past couple years or so? It would be cool if this partnership with TNA would allow for someone like Abyss to actually be featured in the 2K games. Get some classic TNA talent like Abyss and mix in new stars like Grace, Moose and Hendry. If Parks is still employed by WWE as agent, what about an one off in the Rumble as Abyss?

Abyss can't move much anymore. But dammit I would love a one off Rumble appearance!

He's been an agent for the last few years, and is highly regarded for his work!

Former Turner Executive Jamie Kellner, the man truly responsible for ending WCW when he canceled it from Turner Programming has passed away. Kellner of course was responsible for so much of the hit TV shows we all watched in the 90's and still watch today.

Jamie Kellner, who expanded the broadcast TV landscape by helping hatch the Fox and WB networks in 1987 and 1995, respectively, has died. He was 77.
