When you realize just how much money WWE brings in each year, It would be embarrassing if anyone on the roster wasn't getting at least that much. No one should be making WNBA money when you have gigantic TV deals and that Saudi money.

Re: WWE Off-Topic
Which is why you have some talent who regardless if they should be pushed or not, you don't see suddenly complain they're not getting their shot.
You either get pushed and succeed and make more money, get pushed and failed and possibly released and wind up making a fraction of that money elsewhere, or you say nothing and keep making your 350k+
The "you shouldn't be here if you don't want to be world champ" mentality is long gone. Now it's just about making a living for you and your family regardless what spot on the card you're on because even lower down people make good money.
Especially when you factor in they pay their own healthcare/dental, they have no pension plan, most male their own travel arrangements and rental vehicles. Obviously, the last two are a tax write off, yet it still adds up to a lot especially when you are on the road 40+ weeks a year.
We can't be both upset when WWE (or any company) releases talent, but also question if they all have enough 'ambition.' They've worked their entirely lives to go to WWE (most of them at least), so if they get paid to hang out in catering that's on management.

Re: WWE Off-Topic
I don't necessarily agree with this (that everyone is just 'okay' with their spot/being off TV), but the reality is everyone can't be a top guy/girl, and the 'lower - priority' talents deserve to make an honest wage.

But I'm sure there's a number of talent who if deciding between sitting in catering or shining elsewhere would prefer staying in WWE because the money is good. Same for many jobs.Comment

Becky Lynch is officially a free agent per SRS, but do we really see her leaving WWE after Seth re-signed already? I could see her just staying home, being a mom and spending time with Seth as he's recovering from surgery. The only thing I see is something with the TNA storyline where she goes to TNA and challenges Grace for the Knockout Women's Title.Last edited by UFCMPunk; 06-01-2024, 01:21 AM.Comment

Re: WWE Off-Topic
Am I even expected to know what channel TNA is on?
All these forced "collaborations" are stupid. Why would I care about any "storyline" between wrestlers who aren't in the same company and the only reason their paths cross is only *to* make some empty match up. I don't care about wrestling matches if they ultimately are baseless or mean nothing to advance an actual weekly story.
If I wanted to watch TNA I would. Started tuning out of AEW around the time they brought this belt that belt this guy that guy.
Just looked at the roster and so many people I didn't even give one single, solitary **** about even when they were in WWE. One absolutely *massive* who cares. Please don't waste our time. There's plenty of talent in WWE that can be used. We don't need any extra forced nonsense.Last edited by TheMatrix31; 06-01-2024, 02:42 AM.Comment

Re: WWE Off-Topic
No. WWE is assuming that as a wrestling fan you would've heard about TNA sometime in the last 22 years. And that the audience who bothers to tune in to NXT might have heard of Jordynne Grace, who is far from a household name but has made something of a name for herself in the last four or five years.
Or if someone is a WWE-only viewer, maybe you'll just remember her from this year's Royal Rumble.
And if none of that sounds familiar? Good news - if there's one thing WWE does well it's overexplain something, so they'll make sure you know in time for her match at Battleground.Comment

Re: WWE Off-Topic
TNA on Spike is the only reason I heard of TNA. Randomly watching TV late on a weekend during summer vacation and finding out there's some other wrestling company out there and they have 6 sided rings and lots of other different things.
Impact and Velocity I think used to air on tv around the same time? Was fun watching back then.Comment

Re: WWE Off-Topic
This is a month old but wish I watched it sooner. Cultaholic did a video where AI rewrote wrestlers theme songs. Basically they just put in vague descriptions and the AI came up with whatever. Watch it til the end because the AI roasts Hulk Hogan completely....

Re: WWE Off-Topic
There's rumors that we could see
Spoiler
A mid card women's title
I wouldn't mind that if it actually gets proper attention and doesn't get treated like an afterthought such as the tag titles.
I don't think both brands need it, but I wouldn't be surprised if they had one for both brands even though that seems like an overkill. A mid card title that let's you go to both brands would be nice.
If they follow the NXT model, they'll probably just call it the Women's Intercontinental Title or something.

Re: WWE Off-Topic
WWE Hall of Famer (lol) Nikki Bella is among the cast for Traitors Season 3. For those who dont know the show, it's a reality show that's like The Challenge meets Big Brother.
One of the winners from last season was with The Miz during his reality TV days (I think they might have dated?)
Show airs on Peacock so I wouldn't be surprised to see WWE promoting it.
With Nikki on it, maybe it opens the door for WWE talent to one day go on it. I'm surprised we haven't seen many WWE people on these kinds of shows. The Ashley situation was tragic (both what happened off screen in WWE around this time combined with her struggling physically and mentally on Survivor), but other than her we haven't really had many WWE names on shows.
Miz for instance, could he make his way onto this show or other shows once his WWE careers done.Last edited by Majingir; 06-05-2024, 09:49 AM.Comment

Re: WWE Off-Topic
Watching the first episode of the "Who Killed WCW" on Vice, Nash was talking about how Rey wanted him to throw him through the glass window of that trailer he was thrown into. Nash said no, that would kill him if he did it.
That episode of Nitro aired July 26th, 1996, Dom was born in April 1997. So even before Dom was born, Rey was already trying to get out of being a father. "Yo Kev, in case my son grows up to be a terrible person, dates a gothic girl who convinces him to leave me for her cult group. Can you kill me now by throwing me through a window? Thanks."Comment
