Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Wait wait, y'all don't think DX would've been successful any other time?
They were "young" male renegades that did what they wanted and got chics to flash them. How the hell do you guys figure they wouldn't have been successful? Lol

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Yeah, DX is top 3 for me. Nwo #1, Horsemen #2. Not sure how the Brood made it over the Ministry of Darkness either. Especially considering they were in the Ministry...Comment

The nWo should be the No. 1 faction though, and it's not really close. The impact they had on the entire wrestling business (which was in pretty bad shape in 1996) cannot be overlooked. I'd put the 4 Horsemen next in line, followed by DX.
Still can't get over The Brood being No. 2. That really makes no sense.Currently Playing:

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I never said DX was only successful because of their era. Hell, they succeeded in 2006 and 2007, as well. And that was a far different era than the Attitude Era.
I just think they are historically overrated. They weren't nearly as significant as the NWO was. And they weren't as talented as the Horsemen. I'd even go as far as to say that, had they lasted a little while longer, Evolution was better than DX.
I was actually surprised/disappointed that The Shield wasn't on the list. Especially when you consider that The Brood was on there. The Shield has been around for probably twice as long as The Brood, they've actually won titles and matches, and they are of some serious significance. I'd put The Shield up there ahead of some of the stables listed.
I love how they mentioned as part of the reasoning for the Brood being so high - "look at the careers the Brood kicked off"...as if Edge & Christian did anything while in the Brood. They had their best success as a tag team almost a year after the Brood split, and they were an entirely different gimmick by then. At least people in DX won titles while with DX, and Triple H legitimately became a star because of DX. Same with Rock & The Nation. You can't say that Edge & Christian became stars because of The Brood.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
The brood is in no way a number 2 stable in anybody's mine, I don't see how at least the free birds or Von Erich's didn't make the list considering that had significant impact during the territory days, I don't think nexus didn't make as much of a lasting mark as people think, the shield deserves at least an honorable mentionComment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
The DX return cracked me up all the time when they came back "I just kicked Stan!". Easily a top 3 group.

I'll also add that I don't think the leader doing a complete 180 in his lifestyle/beliefs helped.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I'm watching Clash of the Champions XXVIII and a few points:
- I can't believe they thought doing a Nancy Kerrigan angle was a good idea.
- Austin's theme is awesome/under rated.
- I can watch Austin/Steamboat wrestle everyday.
- Honky Tonk Man still sucks I see.
- WCW was really really really awful at the time.Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football
