I was definitely one of the people booing him vociferously in the arenas during his face run back then. Anytime he came on tv, I’d turn the channel. That was before I’d all but given up on the product altogether.

It seemed dumb to me that they never did it. Hogan was getting boos in certain areas of the country as a face, especially in southern states, and he eventually turned heel in WCW. Reigns was getting booed too, like serious go away heat for a while. They turned him too, just took longer.

I think Cena was different than those guys. The merch from kids. The PR from Make a Wish. The amount of publicity he did. Even if he was getting booed in the ring he was worth more to them as a face.

Random underrated "Undertaker almost broke" moment, Kane doing the "wassup" with DVon on Smackdown.

You could see him on the apron trying to not laugh.

WWE not wasting time.......... Cody Rhodes is the next guest on the Broken Skulls Session. I imagine they filmed this sometime after Wrestlemania?

Seeing how he did it with Jericho, he'll definitely dive into AEW with Cody.

Just when you think you've seen all the funny ref bumps imaginable, I see Earl Hebner in Rock vs Angle title match on Raw with another classic ref bump.

Rock has Angle on the outside, rolls him back into the ring, and Hebner trips over the rolling Angle and basically blows out his knee.

I was watching BSS with Cody and one thing I never even thought about, Dusty never got to really see what would become of his NXT students.

At least he did see Rollins MITB cash in and all, but never fully got to see what Rollins would become, or Reigns, and never saw the 4HW on the main roster or any of that.

*Undertaker is going after HHH and police come and arrest Undertaker*

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley: YOU'RE GOING TO JAIL UNDERTAKER!

Undertaker: Yeah, I've been there before.

00/01 Vince McMahon always finds ways to top himself.

"I'll never forgive your mother for giving birth to you (Shane)"

As great of a card as WM17 was, I never realized how "thrown together" it actually felt. With a card like that you could've sworn it had months to build. Most of the matches didnt get announced or really have much build until a few weeks before WM. Despite that, everything got loaded up quick. In a single show you got that line from McMahon, Jericho "besmirched" Regals tea, Rhyno debuts, Spike debuts, Kane almost kills Stephanie.

                      Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

My internet was down so I watched 3 shows on DVD. Summerslam 1992, Wrestlemania 2, and Wrestlemania 2000

Have to say, 1992 era Macho Man coming to the ring with that winged eagle belt around his waist is an all time great look. Shame that the crowd was like 85/15 in favor of Warrior in that match. Other matches felt like they were drawn randomly from a hat. Nailz vs Virgil, Crush vs Repo Man, but the crowd was into it either way.

WM2 had perhaps the best ever commentary tea. of Jesse Ventura, Elvira and Lord Alfred Hayes. Screw Gordon Solie. The entire show is one of the most bizarre attempts by Vince at throwing every celebrity he could book into every segment. If you ever wanted Kathy Lee Gifford and the "Where's The Beef" lady together, your wish is granted. G Gordon Liddy judging a Mr T boxing match? Yep.

WM 2000 feels like a lesser version of WM15. Crowd is less hot, main event way less hot, etc. Main event angle was overbooked as all hell, but Vince and Rock walking to the ring together looked badass. There was a hardcore title match with about 100 shots to the head with cookie sheets, streets signs, etc. I've no clue how that match looks on Peacock, but if they edited those out it's gotta be like a 40 second match.

It was also a 'heel goes over' finish at WM, which feels dumb. It was all about continuing a TV storyline and getting fans to watch on Monday, as opposed to paying anything off. It was a very TNA finish to a PPV, before TNA existed.

Yeah I hated that WM. Dropping the number in the title, heel winning a non 1v1 main event. Had a very “try hard” feeling to it.

Wasn't that not even the plan to begin with?

Jericho was gonna be in it AND win?
