Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
The best thing about the New Rockers was when Al tried to give notice and he had like 2 years left on his deal. Lol

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I'm watching all the shows and I saw messed up things like people cheering and waving with the Oddities. But we'd also have crowds that didn't care about Dudley Boyz.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
It's funny we think of that as "today," when that whole little Jimmy thing was like 8-9 years ago. Doesn't feel that long ago because the look and feel of WWE hasn't changed much at all. But the Attitude Era feels like it was 40 years ago.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Speaking of Cornette, how much Smokey Mountain Wrestling is on the Network? On YouTube someone uploaded the first handful of episodes. Watched the first episode last night and it was great. Bob Caudle and Dutch Mantell on commentary.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Compare 88 to 93 to 98 to 03 to 08. All eras are so distinguishable, it's more than just different faces present.
Compare 2011 to 2015 to 2019. How different are things really?
I remember growing up and watching and I could tell you the big stuff that happened in each year because it was so different. I couldnt do same today about most things. Ask me what happened in 02 vs 04, I could tell you. Ask me about 2012 vs 14 and I'd need memory jog lol.Comment

Hot take: Head was stupid and infantile. If someone tried that same thing today they’d get crapped all over.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
95% of the gimmicks in the attitude era wouldn't have gotten over today. And hot take Undertaker is a part of that 95%.Last edited by redsox4evur; 06-20-2019, 12:07 PM.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Correct. Although I’d say the Undertaker still works because he was an established gimmick already. But yes, I’ll die on the hill that outside of the McMahon/Austin stuff which was genuinely compelling TV. 99% of the AE wasn’t very good and it is far and away one of the most overrated things ever.
