    - The Stooges were so great. I remember thinking they were hilarious as a kid, and they're even better in retrospect.

    - Crowd is hot, almost to a scary degree. Fans in the front row getting in both guys face, super aggressive.

    - There's a spot where Dude Love's false teeth come out. Lawler says he's lost his smile lol.

    - Crowd chants "Vince is gay!"

    - Dude Love gets clotheslined over the guard rail landing right on his head/neck on the cement. ****.

    - Austin gets busted open and is taking bumps on rusty cars. Does insurance cover that?

I don't know how much that PPV cost back in 1998, but for the effort and entertainment value it was likely a steal.

That show kicked off a really great summer.

Negative. PPVs were still cheap back then. In Your House was still going for 19.95while the big 5 were going around 29.95

Once they phased out In Your House after Backlash ‘99 everything was 29.95 with Wrestlemania climbing up to around 34.95

It wasn’t until around the Ruthless Aggression era I believe possibly the 05-06 range when monthly PPVs climbed to 34.95 a month then 39.99 and Wrestlemania climbing to 49.95 and then 54.95 eventually monthly PPVs climbed to 44.95 and then 49. Think that was brought in with the HD era.

Yeah, WM didn't get crazy with the prices until HD. I remember getting WM12 when I was a kid and it was like $30.

I was searching around for historical PPV buyrates and saw this

View historic WWE/WWF pay-per-view event buyrates (A 1.0 buyrate is approximately equivalent to 400,000 buys).

Strange to see how low the buys were for WM19 in Seattle. Around 2007 forward we see the beginning of the WM shows dwarfing all the other shows in terms of buys and relevancy. To me that's about when the weekly/monthly WWE product stopped delivering.

I feel like lots of networks did that.

Once stuff went HD, they had higher prices for HD over SD. Then HD became the norm so prices just naturally stayed high.

I'm up to 1987 World Championship Wrestling and Kevin Sullivans' promos were so terrible at that time. Couldn't understand what the hell he was saying....i'm not talking about the promos on evil, darkness and such you could follow those and they fit his character.

I'm talking about him literally going through most of the big names in WCW at that time and saying *name* you can't do this or you can't do that to *name*
*Name* you don't know *name* as well as you think and he will beat you, just all over the place.
-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward Murphy

I really wish Table for 3 was longer but I guess these Network only shows is the only place they succeed in having the viewer want more. Never knew Adam Cole was the guy in the skit with Serena in a bar where Punk catches her breaking her straight edge pledge. Also crazy to think the original plan for the Riott squad was to not even be together for long and they were to be seperated so soon after their debut.

Playoffs winding down, picked back up where I left off. Late November 99.

                    Spoiler

Kind of interesting thing on Raw that happened here too. Definitely shows how rough things were despite it being boom period. JR gave a mini speech to the fans telling them to let sponsors know how much they love them/WWF. Seemed like sponsors really weren't happy with the company at the time. They were going public soon too weren't they?

Does anyone know when the network will be available on 2019 TVs? I have a Samsung from 17 and one from 18 with the network app. Got this new QLED from 19 and it’s not available. Samsung said it’s on the developer, the network said “soon.” They just purged a lot of support for older models and 19 is half over. Wouldn’t you want the app on a new tv? Sucks for me cause one tv is now at my parents, the other tv is in my basement. The new tv in the living room now doesn’t have the network and I got rid of the PS4 in that room.

It's a shame that I'm getting close to the end of Foleys full time in ring career. Only a few months left since I'm in November 99 right now. On plus side, almost Radicalz time!

                        Foley/Snow together are too funny.

After I finish Raw it’ll be time to flip over to Nitro and the debut of Warrior in WCW. Good ole 8/17/98.

Al Snow was so underrated. Had a great sense of humor for the business.

Al Snow with head was one of the funniest gimmicks. Not as good as RTruth little Jimmy gimmick, but next tier down.

Once they took head away, that hurt him.
