Well, just to give an example, Halloween Havoc that year was headlined by Hogan and Piper in a cage match. I think the lower midcard WCW matches were good around that time, but those matches were on Nitro every week too. Once you got around match 3-4 on those PPVs, it was downhill fast. Steve McMichael territory.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Should have clarified. By "better" I mean the ratings were better, so therefore the fans at the time thought WCW was overall better than the WWF. With hindsight being 20/20, it is entirely subjective. Growing up in Horsemen country, I was biased towards WCW until about '99 or so.NFL- Green Bay Packers
NCAA- Florida State Seminoles
NHL- Carolina HurricanesComment

WCW was always Southern Wrasslin but that never really appealed to me then. With my friends growing up it was always WWF, so I never got behind Sting or anything like that.badComment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Started watching from May 1996 early in 2015. Just now, despite skipping through 90% of the milestones, have finally made it to December 1997. Such a great time period, 1997 is an underrated year for WWE. WCW in retrospect was overrated...it had great matches sure, but it killed any interest in the PPVs because they always had those matches on Nitro beforehand and the Sting/nWo storyline isn't as good as I remember. It's pretty repetitive actually.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
And last night I finally made it to the official start of The Attitude Era. The Stone Cold/Rock segment with Austin throwing the belt in the river never gets old.
On another note, new collections were uploaded for March:
- The Legacy of Shane McMahon
- The Four Horsewomen of NXT
- The Canadian Collection (this is just historical matches/events that took place in Canada)
And for those wondering, yes the Black History Month Collection was removed.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
lol, on Edge-Christian show, they did "Mean Tweets". I've always wanted to see WWE do that since WWE Superstars get some of the more ridiculous tweets of all people on twitter, and are more active than athletes that often do mean tweets on Jimmy Kimmel.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
How the hell is the triangle ladder match from WM 16 not there or the HBK/Razor from WM X. I get you can watch them already on the Network but if you're doing a collection of WM show stealer matches, then surely those two belong more than Bryan/HHH, Punk/Taker, Shane/Vince or the damn dumpster match.

Flair/HBK always gets me, man.
Especially the last part right before Michaels delivered Sweet Chin Music to Flair.#RespectTheCultureComment

What difference does that make? The collection is WM match show stealing matches. And both of those matches stole the show at WM. I couldn't tell you another match from WM X or WM 16.Comment

Same goes for TLC 2 at WM-17. I remember that match, much more than the McMahon street fight.

I've never been that bothered about the 97-99 stuff really, it's the 00-05 time that always interested me more.
