    Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

Man I just have to say again how much I love that WWE went through with making the Network a thing. Being able to go back and watch stuff that you might have missed or only saw when it happened originally and never again is the best. I'm remembering how awesome certain stuff was and seeing some episodes that I originally missed for various reasons.

Greg Helms does not get his due for The Hurricane gimmick now days man lol. Probably because of how much he hates Shawn Michaels and isn't shy about making that known. I always remember his stuff with The Rock and how funny that was, but man that early work he did when he became "The Hurricane" was absolutely hilarious. When he kept getting in matches trying to choke slams Big Show and Kane. The whole pose and then full spin just to run the ropes during a match. Absolute gold.

          “It’s me, Austin!”

          “Awww, son of a bitch”

JR delivered that perfectly in that moment.[emoji1490]

Just got to where Austin is CEO. Too funny, man.

The Bischoff turn to join NWO is pretty darn good.

Hearing JR and King during the “This is your life, Rock” episode makes this more hilarious than it was.

Also, I forgot how the Tag division was loaded with awesome groups. Rock n’ Sock, Kane/X-Pac, Acolytes, Hardyz, Taker/Big Show, Edge/Christian, Outlaws, Dudleyz, The Hollys.

Damn 1999 was an awesome year.

                  Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

Man I miss Stone Cold and The Rock. Just finished watching the Raw before Survivor Series 2001 and their promo to close out the show. Those two snatching the mic from each other, stealing each other's phrases; Rock's "What's?" Were hilarious. But one of my all-time favorite Austin lines easily, taking offense to Rock talking about his beer belly.
"I can say right now Rock, I've heard you talk about me before. Yeah you say Stone Cold Steve Austin, you come out here with your beer belly. Yeah you called it beer belly. Called it a beer belly. That ain't no beer belly it's a fuel tank for a whoop *** machine and I'm about to open up a can right now!"

Bonus. I missed the Smackdown before Survivor Series '01 back when it originally aired and watched it for the first time today. If you've never seen that episode and the promo that Paul Heyman cuts on Vince to Vince's face in the middle of the ring, do yourself a favor and check it out. Fantastic stuff from Paul.

Interesting how Vince isn't a fan of tag teams, yet when you look back at the two most successful eras - Hogan and Attitude - both had robust tag team divisions. There's definitely a correlation there between the health of the division and the product as a whole.

Hell I still do it to this day, lol.

                        Re-watching the Undertaker/Kane/Austin/McMahon storyline from mid-end of 1998, easily my favorite storyline(s).

I basically started (again) with Undertaker's return ("Sit up, Mark!") before WM14 to the Buried Alive match in December.

Some good, fun storylines post-WM 14:
                        - Austin/McMahon
                        - Undertaker/Kane - are they in cahoots??
                        - DX/The Nation - DX impersonating The Nation
                        - Austin/Undertaker towards the end of 98
                        - Corporate Rock
                        - Anyone remember that Val Venis storyline where he got his venis cut off by a katana to end Raw?

                        Ah, good times.

I remember when he first started doing it. Back when he only pointed with one arm and didn't take off the elbow pad, I was dying. Went to school the next day elbowing fools lol

I’m up to the end of November 96. The Nation was just formed.

PG-13 rapping the intro is hilarious. They’re so awful.
