They added the Sting documentary. It's a really good watch if you haven't seen it yet.

Good documentary. Still had the Blu-Ray on my list of things to buy and just never got around to it.

Cool seeing him talk about matches while watching them, though I wish there was a little more time spent in the barn with the old gear and memorabilia. Then the footage of him visiting the office and building up to Mania, you can see how happy he is to check this off the bucket list.

Apparently they cut out quite a bit of stuff compared to the BR version.

There are some differences in this, and the Bluray release. It's been a while since I've watched my Bluray copy, but after just watching the Network version, here are some things I can point out right now:
In the Bluray version, you see Sting meeting various departments at the WWE headquarters. The Network shows him arriving, and then shows him meeting Triple, and walking into Vince's office. With his visit to Vince's office, in the Bluray, the scene follows Sting and Triple H, from the hallway into the office. The Network cuts from the walk to show clips of the final Nitro, with Vince's monologue at the beginning of the show spliced in, and then cuts back to Sting stepping into the office
-the Bluray looks at Sting's faith, and shows his involvement with his church. It also introduces us to his soon to be new wife. The Bluray concludes with scenes of Sting's wedding after Wrestlemania. The Network cuts it all out entirely.
-Some of the talk of Sting's transition to the crow character is different. In the Bluray, Sting mentions Marilyn Manson's Rolling Stone cover, while on the network we get footage of photo shoots of the character.
-I've noticed some complaining about no mention of TNA, or anytime in between WCW closing, and the filming of this documentary. I'm pretty sure in the Bluray, there is one brief mention of TNA.
-some of the footage of Sting discussing the match with Hogan at Starrcade has been cut on the Network version. Most notably the footage of him by the fire.
-it seems as if they added some new camera angles into the footage of his WWE debut at Survivor Series.
-The Wrestlemania portion is a combination of what was seen in the Bluray version, and the WWE 24 episode that aired after the Royal Rumble. There are some scenes added, such as Sting doing some Arnold Schwarzenegger impersonating.
-The Network version ends with Sting and his family leaving Wrestlemania. Alternatively, the Bluray ends with Sting and his family at his wedding.
It's interesting that they've changed so much. I've figured there things cut from the Beyond The Ring versions of the documentaries, but I have not noticed such differences as there are between the two formats of Into The Light.

Probably still worth keeping the blu-ray on my 'crap to buy' list then.

I'll have to check out the Sting Beyond the Ring. I hadn't noticed anything really interesting added lately.

Does someone still have the site that tells what almost being uploaded soon?

I watched the Thank you Daniel special twice.

Watched the Sting doc today too. I like seeing the backstage stuff like him going to WWE HQ and talking to Hunter and everyone.

Thank You Daniel was a great watch. My wife even stopped what she was doing to watch it as well...and she hates wrestling, but likes Total Divas.

                    Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

My god watch the 4/29/86 episode of NWA Championship wrestling for the Midnight Express squash match and Cornette's commentary. It's amazing, here's some background to it:

The Midnight Express v. Phil Brown & Wee Willie Wilkins. OK, this is the famous squash that was discussed on the blog a while back. The full story is in Dusty Rhodes’ book, believe it or not, but basically Wilkins was this little guy who thought he was hot **** and didn’t think he warranted position as a jobber because he had a couple of jacked up bodybuilder friends who he brought with him to the tapings.

So Dusty decides to punish him with the Wee Willie name instead of his previous choice “Blue Thunder” (cough). And then he got in the MX’s face backstage, so this is the result. Condrey pounds Brown down to start and Eaton drops the flying knee, just beautifully. And we get the traditional rubbing of the belts in the jobber’s face by Cornette, and it’s over to Wilkins. Dennis gets on his knees to challenge him, which is hilarious, and Cornette actually jokes that he should call himself “Blue Thunder” on commentary.

Eaton brings Wilkins off the top with a backdrop suplex and Condrey drops a knee, and it’s back to Brown again. Condrey, however, gives Wilkins another round of punishment while he’s leaving the ring, so he tags back in again. Eaton also does the kneeling joke and then starts laying in some pretty stiff shots and laughs off his offense. Like, literally chuckles when Wilkins is trying to make a comeback. Oh man, this is the best squash ever. Eaton adds a neckbreaker on the floor, and back in so Wilkins can tag out again. Condrey chokes him out on the ropes and they do the in-and-out gag, and Eaton suplexes him.

Back to Wee Willie again and Condrey suplexes him and really lays into him with boots, as does Eaton. Willie then makes a major error and no-sells the beating, popping up with attitude, so the Express finishes with the Rocket Launcher at 7:00. I’d hate to be that punk in the dressing room afterwards

This week has been awesome for the RE era Raws.

                      10 from 2002. Only about 13 remaining.
                      20 from 2003. About 27 remaining.
