WWE Network Discussion Thread
I think it's the first Raw of April '97. Bret is in South Africa so he's not at Raw, Shawn comes out for an in ring interview with Vince and lays into Bret's obsession with the WWF title, using Vince and the fans for Bret's own financial gain, how he supported Bret around the time when he started his singles career and won the IC title while Bret won the WWF title and then when the time came to return the favor, Bret did it but did it kicking and screaming every step of the way. He laid into him for a good 10-15 minutes straight over a ton of issues. Feels like Shawn is definitely the type that'd only give part of the story though if he's being honest at all

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
'97 was amazing and especially the Bret/Shawn stuff. There they proved that worked shoots CAN work however we eventually saw how that mushroomed into legit heat. IIRC Bret and Shawn actually worked out a lot of the content of those promos together though Bret later admitted that the "Sunny Days" comment in one of their confrontations on TV was definitely below the belt and was uncalled for.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Just a heads up for those that don't check your email. But there are issues with the start from the beginning function on the X1. So if you plan on watching MITB on X1 tomorrow night make sure to get on and ready at 8pm or else you will miss some parts.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Picked a couple random later Nitros and watched them over the weekend. Holy **** is it terrible. Not even in the 'so bad it's good' way. Just...wow.
Also picked some random 1995 Raws. It's amazing how many guys taking moves either land right on their head or just barely clear the mat.Comment

Yes. The Jake Roberts documentary on Netflix is a must see for all wrestling fans who know him, or Scott Hall.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Watched E3 of season 2 of Swerved. Never really liked the series as a whole and probably won't care too much about remaining episodes of the series, but I liked the Orton-Rollins part. Those kids trying to act all tough and cool in promos, and then Orton and Rollins just sneaking up behind him. The RKO one was the funniest part of it all.
Despite guys apparently having arrogant reps backstage, both seemed like cool guys.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
My gosh, WCW in 2000 was worse than I remember. A faction called The Varsity Club that includes Kevin Sullivan and Mike Rotunda? Standard & Practices????? Was that their version of Right To Censor? Tag Team called PG-13, oh how could Vince Russo and Co destroy what was so good only a couple years earlier. WWE could have done without uploading the terrible final year of WCW.Last edited by UFCMPunk; 06-25-2016, 07:04 PM.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Standards and practices was actually their poke at the guys at Turner who were making them tone it down. That department was standards and practices.
