So Reigns attempting to murder Strowman was for the kids?

See...the analysis of the business on its own? Sure. It's all valid and worth discussion. I don't see how this (sometimes overly) analytical aspect of fandom meshes with also wanting to see wrestling "as it was intended". We didn't care about that stuff back then.

(Though at this point the conversation should probably go to the Off-Topic thread?)

How do people manage to do it/bingewatch the amount of episodes people watch?

I guess they just do it? That's a terrible answer and I have trouble binge watching anything so I can't really give any advice, but I assume they just throw it on in the background while they're doing other stuff. If the Network ever adds more playback options (something like 1.5 speed) you'd be able to bust through them quicker.

Maybe just focus on any specific feuds you want to see for now and then if anything else interesting pops up during the show you can catch up on that too.

It's not hard to do if you are really invested in it. It's literally 1-3 hours of television depending on what you are watching. Like I'm watching 03 right now. Each Raw and SD are around 1:20 each. And the PPVs, I'm guessing are around 3 hours. But if you wanna watch old Nitros those could be 45 minutes or the newer Raws those are around 2 hours. All of those are watching the whole show. But you could knock it down to 15-30 minutes if you only wanna watch a couple segments like you said earlier.

I'm thinking of maybe just watching promos/segments and that's really it. And PPV matches too. TV matches I guess it might just depend on how I feel about the matchup. For example, I'd watch a Rock/Austin vs NWO on Raw match, but I obviously won't care about some Maven/Al Snow tag team match. Just gotta start watching and hope it doesn't take too long watching things.

I'm trying to start with 02(I was hoping to do a 97-04 watch through, but it took me almost an entire year to watch 1997 stuff, and that was with alot of them being 1hr Raws and skipping about half of each show). Maybe even as early as 01 right after Survivor Series.

Just hope doing all this doesn't make me feel even worse about the current WWE product.

WWE does cater to kids to much when they can't pay for the network or buy the tickets to go to a RAW or a ppv. When it's the adults who pay for the network or the tickets. They were fans themselves once so the WWE could do more to get us the adults to keep watching. NXT is good stuff and I look forward to see what HHH will do with WWE as a hole once he takes over.

Haha just because kids can't actually buy stuff doesn't mean they don't have a MASSIVE impact on markets. Parents will spend way more on their kids than themselves.

2nd best call of that match.

Don't think I need to explain what the best was since we know the answer to that.

Well, TV is failing. And TV is what's propping then up now. When that goes, or even when NBCU decides that they are only willing to pay half of what WWE expects for their shows, the **** will hit the fan. And the Network won't make a dent in that loss.

As we know, Talking Smack was cancelled as a weekly show. Talking Smack will continue to air following every SD Live PPV. The reason it was cancelled.... Mr. Out of Touch Himself, Vince McMahon. Vince hated the unscripted nature of the show and felt it wasn't in the company's best interest.

Of course, Vince loves his scripts so much he doesn't want anyone to dare go off script!
