Didn't they used to have the Benoit Tribute Episode right after that incident on the Network or did they always have that "Best Moments of 2007" Raw Episode on there?

That’s always been there. The Eddie and Owen tribute shows are on there. Never the Benoit one though.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
That's the biggest problem with the current product, there is no character development on the babyface side. Rollins, Reigns, Balor, Styles, and Roode all seem like the same character to me, with the same promo with exception to them throwing in their catch phrase. AJ is the best wrestler on the planet so he can get away with it, but the others all seem like vanilla cookie cutter characters. Nakamura is even starting to fit in with those guys.
WWE apparently has over 30 writers. I can't see how they don't just assign a few superstars to each writer. Or even break the team up into groups of 3-5 people, each group responsible for a group of superstars, or segment in the show. Would be so much more organized and straightforward. Nowadays it seems like you got 30 different people all providing input on how they want a single segment to be like.
Probably shouldn't be commenting during lunch, but it's basically the whole "too many chefs in the kitchen". All got their own styles, likes, dislikes. But because you don't want to turn off or offend them, or go too much in one direction, things just end up bland, in the middle, and generic to appease the majority.Comment

So slightly off topic, but I thought it was funny that we talked about this here a couple weeks ago here and I came across this post from the United Center’s Facebook page in my newsfeed today.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Lmao JR on commentary never ever gets old man. I don’t care how many times you hear his calls, they don’t stop being hilarious and great. Especially about Triple H. After Shawn beats H at SummerSlam ‘02 and Hunter attacks him after the match with a sledgehammer to the back.
“How on God’s green earth can that human being be from this planet? Does he have no conscious? Does he have no heart? Do you have no soul, you son of a bitch, do you realize what you’ve just done?”

Ya’ll need to get off the PG thing. You could easily substitute all the non pg things JR says and his calls would still be just as good.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I don't get how people can still blame the PG rating for reasons why certain things are the way they are.
"PC Era" I could accept people calling this time period in WWE, but "PG Era" doesn't make as much sense to me.
As for commentary, the rating means nothing in terms of commentary. The commentary is simply because of the style WWE forces on their commentators. Everything is so scripted and commentators are forced to deal with people in their era basically every minute of the show. It's like they're not allowed to even think for themselves for the duration of a 2-3 hour show where they're talking for half of it. Can you imagine if sports had the same kind of commentary style as WWE?Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Who was fussing about the PG rating? I seen dubcity mention it in a post but that was it. 🤷🏾*♂️

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
All I meant was JR could call a guy a son of a bitch, a no good bastard, say he was gonna rot in hell, etc. Pretty sure they aren't allowed to say that now lol. That's a direct result of moving away from edgy stuff 10 (or so) years ago.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
It's not really about good or bad necessarily. He had some awesome moments in WCW where he had a ton of energy, and that was PG.Last edited by dubcity; 01-10-2018, 02:32 PM.Comment
