Summer of '97 in like 5-6 weeks you get:

    The Hart Foundation
    The New Nation
    DOA
    Los Boricuas
    The Truth Commission

WWE was all about factions/stables then and I loved it. With the brand split, not much room for them today.

But 97 hart foundation was great. The scheduling was perfect having ppvs and tv events in both countries during all this. Like a playoff series in a way with the rotation. Austin booed during AE, only in Canada lol.

How dare you little jabroni go running your mouth speaking ill of any portion of the WWF’s gang wars. Know your role lol

Brian Christopher was just ****ing horrible, man. Until he and Scott became Too Cool Idk if there's anyone that annoyed me more than him.

          The "What?" chants, man.

They were funny for a little bit, but after awhile they became ****ing annoying.

I loved the stable wars too, but what I was saying is that certain ones just weren't interesting to me.

That's why gimmicks are so important and a "lost art" in a way today. Who wants to see Brian Christopher and Scott Taylor? Generic nobodies. But Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty were entertaining.

Russo loved having all those stables, cuz then they could book tag and singles matches all night on Raw and the result of each specific match wasn't very important.

Every time I think of Farooq in NOD I think of the street fight at WM13 and how insane it was. Dudes getting hung (read: lynched), them using the wrong (shoot) fire extinguiser, Animal trying to piledrive Simmons through a table, etc.

                      Bad Blood '97

Got damn I forgot how bad this PPV was outside of the main event.

Speaking of main event, I feel like the only reason this gets forgotten is because of Mankind. Taker/HBK was a fun and entertaining match and Kane was the icing on the cake.

So the Starrcade event WWE is having tonight won't even air on the network? Sure, it's just a house show, but surprised it's not on the network. They made Roadblock which was basically SNME meets house show, into a network special.

I'm not surprised at all. They are undergoing massive budget cuts this year. It's why we saw Emma, Darren Young, Summer Rae all get released, why Anthem still holds the right to the TNA video library, why we still haven't seen the weekly UK show on the Network (though we're supposedly getting updates on that in the next month or so), why there's been less original programming (Talking Smack, and other network shows), etc.
