Yeah it wasn’t the best looking finish but from what I remember he always moved super slow as part of his character the first few years. I like how he got out of the ring and picked up the urn after it fell off the ring and I was not expecting to see him get suplexed the way he did by the Bulldog. I was thoroughly sports entertained

In more important news, WWE added more of the WCW Saturday Night library. Now have a majority of 1993.NFL- Green Bay Packers
NCAA- Florida State Seminoles
NHL- Carolina HurricanesComment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Now they just need to fill in the gap from mid 89 to early 92 where they don’t have any WCW weekly programming. I need as much Dangerous Alliance as possibleComment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Decided to cancel my subscription to the Network after 5 1/2 years. I never watch it or the product in general anymore. Was pretty much wasting $10.59 every month for quite some time.Comment

The downside of "on demand" for me is you have too many options. Sounds weird, but that's how it is for me. I'm never gonna go in and watch a random Raw from 1996 on my own.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I wish they had a tier just for people who care about the older content. I would pay $5 a month for just a single continuous stream of pre 2005 PPVs, TV shows, documentaries, etc. Then you could check their guide to see what was playing. Like an actual TV channel.

As for the tiered stuff, it's definitely coming. Not sure when, but I remember reading about wwe sending out surveys.
IIRC, they had tiers like 1 for just the PPVs, 1 for on demand and no PPV, 1 for on demand and the big PPVs, and 1 for everything.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
They must have data showing that nobody was watching the live feed outside of PPVs though, because there's no other reason for it to be as repetitive as it's gotten.Last edited by SmashMan; 09-04-2019, 08:50 PM.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Yeah, I'm kinda the same way. Along these lines, I liked when the Network first launched and they had more variety on the live feed. I'd pop it on and it'd sometimes be in the middle of some random Raw; and since I'd be catching it in the middle I'd usually go find it on demand to see the full show and then end up watching a few more.

On the plus side for the show, they have post match stuff broken down into milestones which gives us this perfectly 80's description.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I really enjoyed going through all the SNME's and TNT shows, but after that, it was difficult figuring out what to watch, too many options for me. I tried watching RAW from the very beginning, but lost interest a couple of months in.Currently Playing:

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Should probably do this more often. Crazy how it's taken me 1.5 years to watch 1 year of programming
SD kicks off in a cool way. Every single superstar sitting in the back while HHH/Steph officially introduce the McMahon-Helmsley era.
Spoiler
An Angle match made by Steph! She goes to ringside to "check out" Kurt. His opponent...Test! Steph declared herself Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley. Steph calls for DQ on Test and then DX takes him out.
Next match thanks to the new era, Jeff vs Matt Hardy. Lol Cole with a stupid line "They've grown up together, they know each other real well." And Kings roasts him "Duh, of course they do, THEY'RE BROTHERS!".
Steph challenges Tori to a match. Ended up being a trap to get her out there to face Xpac while Kane gets ambushed backstage.
Mankind vs Snow, falls count anywhere. There won't be any Al Jrs after this match. Mr.Socko with salad tongs followed by Mankind with a bowling ball! Al Snow doesn't want head, he wants a doctor asap. Al Snow tried luring Mankind into the DX lockerroom. Turns out it was The Rocks room and he beats up Al Snow.
Patterson/Brisco backstage segment preparing for their punishment match. Brisco "5 years ago we could best anyone. You were the first ever IC champ". Patterson "THAT WAS 20-30 YEARS AGO!".
Edge vs Christian. Christian enters to some weird music never before played for him, while Edge gets their regular theme. Edge "wins" after Christian rolls up Edge for a 2 count, and Edge counters into his own rollup and ref instead of restarting the count, just counts 3.
Acolytes vs MSP. HOFer Farooq returns home to Florida State. Sounded like a football game. Fans doing the chop and chanting with Farooq.
JR backstage interview. He calls Steph a little "it rhymes with Witch and starts with a B". HHH and Steph confront JR and Steph smacks the "it rhymes with hit and starts with a S" out of him. The first of MANY big time slaps from Steph.
Too Cool vs Holly's and Viscera. Scotty goes for his signature move. King calls it the Caterpillar. Cole corrects him. "ITS THE CENTIPEDE!".
Patterson/Brisco coming out to Hogans music is still funny.
Rock vs Big Show for the title in a lumberjack match. Ends with Rock, Mankind, Big Show beating up everyone.
A Raw Christmas:
Spoiler
-Show of course starts with HHH/Steph. They're giving everyone Christmas presents tonight, McMahon-Helmsley style. First up, Test vs NAO. Of course NAO win.
-Next up, Hardys and Edge/Christian in tag team action. The catch, it's Matt and Edge vs Christian and Jeff (payback since all 4 were Tests groomsmen for the wedding). Christian and Jeff pick up the win in the unique tag match.
-Mae/Moolah receive their Christmas present next. A triple threat match vs the Dudleys AND Acolytes! HHH/Steph announce they're going to go give JR his present, and JR on commentary is just like "oh no......"
-HHH signals to Kevin Dunn to make the stage more "festive", aka put up pics of HHH/Steph for the show. Time for them to embarrass JR. Steph berates him, while HHH goes behind him and Steph pushes JR over HHH. HHH goes to break JRs arm again before Mankind makes the save. Mankind comes out and flat out says "The McMahon-Helmsley era sucks". Then the best line towards Steph wearing a Santa hat. "Santa might say ho ho ho. But I don't think you're the ho he had in mind". HHH makes a boiler room match for Mankind.
-Next Christmas gift, Angle vs Viscera. Steph not happy that HHH made Angle face Viscera. Blackman comes in and actually helps Angle win (Stephs idea it seems like).
-Triple threat tag time. Dudleys destroy Mae and Moolah, including a diving headbutt.
-Mankind vs SantaS. Several Santas. Including New Age Santas and The Game, Triple Claus.
-Godfather and Santas little helpers. All aboad the Ho Ho Hooo train lol. Godfather vs Jericho for IC title. Chyna comes in and helps Jericho win.
-Holly vs Venis in a "holiday topless top rope match" with Terri and BB as the participants. Basically wrestling version of strip poker. Yes, this is a thing in AE. Do it or they're fired. HHH doing live commentary lol. "We don't have all day. I'm sure if you grab the bottom and pull, it'll come off over your head. GO!". HHH is the only one who got to see BB at the end of the match.
-Al Snow comes out to some weird new music for his brahma bullrope match. NAO help Snow win.
-MSP vs Too Cool. Too Cool wins thanks to Rikishi.
-Big Show vs Kane in WWF Title match. If Kane loses, XPac gets Tori for Christmas. Big Show wins, Outlaws kidnap Tori. Have a very Tori Christmas lol.Last edited by Majingir; 09-09-2019, 09:50 AM.Comment
