DDP vs Goldberg was like Savage vs Warrior at WM7. DDP was nowhere near the worker Savage was, but then again Goldberg didn't need nearly as much help as Warrior.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
To his credit Goldberg also didn’t just rest on his abilities. He was A LOT better at the end of the streak than at the beginning. I remember the first time he busted out that back handspring I almost **** myself

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Everything about that match was great. That’s really a rivalry we should have gotten more of. Have DDP unable to beat Goldberg which forces a heel turn to get help. Would have been such a great story with a guy Goldberg actually had real chemistry with.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
What would have been different with Goldberg as a heel? He'd be basically the exact same character. DDP had to the charisma and the talking ability, as well as the move set to pull off an all time great heel turn.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
It's wrestling, you can turn anyone at any given time. And DDP was a great heel in the Ready to Rumble movie so it clearly would have worked.

At that specific time, turning DDP heel would've been dumb as **** with how over he was.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Why can't WWE just make a ****ing documentary? Some of the evolution stuff was good stuff but then they talk about how no one wanted to cheer for a face Orton when he won the title. Compete BS. I remember watching raw around that time and Orton was absolutely getting face pops at that time.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
No lol just no lol. With all the nWo **** it would've been foolish to turn DDP heel because he wouldn't have had a place at that time. The big (main event) heels at the time were pretty much nWo guys. So either he feuds with Sting/Goldberg or feuds with the nWo (which would make him a pseudo face since he already did that).
At that specific time, turning DDP heel would've been dumb as **** with how over he was.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Watching RTruths WWE24 special, they showed some of his TNA career. They give credit to Impact Plus for the footage, but I wonder how long before they're able to buy the entire library. And only a matter of time before we can see them do features on TNA careers of all the big names like AJ, Sting, Roode, Joe and others.
I completely forgot they aired vignettes for his wwe debut/return. So many funny moments in his career. I forgot he climbed the ladder and almost won the MITB briefcase...in a royal rumble match. And they showed footage I never saw before. Looked like a roster meeting at a restaurant and Truth and Vince are just having fun infront of everyone.
I also saw the Mysterio WWE Untold about him and Eddie. Its chilling to hear Eddie basically in narrator form talking about Mysterio. I think his part was for a DVD back in the 00s, but it fits so well for a WWE Network episode in 2020.
I forgot just how crazy good that Dominik story was. Eddie was more than just a heel then. And funny story. Dominik said no at first, but was bribed by money to buy toys lol. And eddie gave him twizzlers during the shooting of their park scene.
And sad story to hear about Mysterio when Eddie died. They were gonna take a flight together but Mysterio changed part of his, and ended up finding out about Eddie's death when he was literally blocks away from the hotel, and actually got to go to the room before they took Eddie away.Last edited by Majingir; 03-02-2020, 09:46 PM.Comment

Impact Plus has all the old shows, but there are entrance music copyright issues that make the problems on WWE seem 1000x more tolerable.Last edited by dubcity; 03-03-2020, 01:09 AM.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Coming March 22
NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman will discuss his headline-making foray into sports-entertainment on the next episode of the WWE Network original series WWE Untold.
Rodman piqued the curiosity of sports fans worldwide in the late 1990s when he entered the WCW ring as a member of the New World Order. Although Rodman made multiple appearances over a two-year span, perhaps none transfixed onlookers more than WCW Bash at the Beach 1998, where he teamed with nWo leader Hollywood Hogan to battle Diamond Dallas Page and another basketball luminary, Karl Malone, mere months after Rodman’s Chicago Bulls defeated Malone’s Utah Jazz in that year’s NBA Finals.
Now, for the first time ever, Rodman will tell his version of events, providing never-before-heard details about that marquee match and much more.
Rodman’s episode of WWE Untold — which will also feature new interviews with Hogan, Page and former WCW President Eric Bischoff — drops Sunday, March 22, at 10 a.m. ET, only on the award-winning WWE Network.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Do those documentaries tend to be fair and straight, or do they have a clear point of view and agenda that warps it? Rodman in the NWO was HUGE at the time. He was coming of an NBA title. I just don't want to hear an anti-WCW slant.Comment
