I don’t remember the exact match but I do remember the camera getting up close on Yokozuna one time and he shouted “Samoa!” completely breaking the Japanese character for that instance.

The opening match at No Mercy was cool. I'm surprised we don't see more matches like that. A tag team gauntlet tables match.

We could have submission gauntlet or a tag team gauntlet where both members need to be defeated for the next team to enter. Or a steel cage gauntlet. So many possibilities.

It's a shame that WWE/writers don't play video games or have that kind of mindset of trying new and innovative things when it comes to match rules or really anything else.

Also, the No Mercy 2000 stage actually looks like the WWE setup of today, which is weird to think about given the screens back then were still the 4:3 format, but WWE always seemed to use the widescreen.

Did something happen with the Nexus special?
It was originally set to air after Takeover, but now I don't see it anywhere.

Raw after No Mercy was something special.

Tribute to Yokozuna to kick off the show.

Benoit wins a match but Lillian calls him Chris Jericho.

Lita vs Trish for the womens title....in a bra and panties match.

Chyna vs Victoria backstage before Victoria's actual WWE run

The Jericho/Kane coffee feud begins (I know people find the way this feud came about to be silly, but it made sense. Jericho spills hot coffee on Kane and makes a joke about Kane being burnt)

Kane's ring pyro almost takes out the crowd (one of the turnbuckle pyros malfunctioned and just stayed on for a good 10 seconds)

Edge and Christian revealed as Los Conquistadors (I never knew Daniels was actually a conquistador).

WWFE actually gets hyped up on TV because of WWF going public. Feels weird seeing the WWFE acronym on TV.

What a weird main event. HHH gets hurt, so EMTs come out. Heber is attending to HHH the whole time, and casually walks away with him and the EMTs as if he wasn't the ref in the triple threat match currently going on, and then a triple threat match ends in a DQ somehow.

I'm sure the WWE 50 greatest womens list was done like all lists, with the intent to stir up debates, so I'll bite. I never saw it before because I thought this special was just some roundtable debate with people from The Bump. It's an actual ranking show with career highlights.

How is Sable a top 20 woman of all time, and ahead of AJ and Paige? Even the Bellas I'd rank higher than Sable if we're including outside WWE popularity.

            And Bayley is 10th?!

One of Torrie Wilson's career highlights in her video package was mentioning she helped a lot of guys through puberty (and Woods/Big E giving that line a standing ovation)

Rousey shouldn't be top 10 imo. Sure, her 1 year is better than most womens careers, but that was her whole career.

Lita is 8? She's easily top 3 all time.

My top 10 in no specific order: Trish,Lita,Chyna,Becky,Sasha,Bayley,Charlotte,AJ,B liss,Asuka with Mickie,Victoria,Beth as honourable mentions.

Doesn't the Peacock version basically have everything, as unorganized as it may be? At the very least, all this original content for the network?

This is probably a "you had to be there" age thing, but you're really underselling just how big Sable was at that time.

I didn't watch this 50 Greatest thing so I don't know how it's presented, but I'd have no problem with her on a top 20.

Yeah, these kinds of original shows are there. It's the back catalog that's taking a while, though they've started picking up the pace over the last week or so on some of it.

Yeah, Sable is definitely up there. For a while in the Attitude Era, Sable and Austin were the two biggest ratings draws in the company. She wasn't much of a wrestler, but when you have Stephanie McMahon on there we're clearly not worried exclusively about in ring.

But the point of the show was ranking women mainly based on in ring accomplishments.

They had names like Miss Elizabeth and Sherri as "honourable mentions" since they were ranked more because of being managers.

Any type of ranking show done by WWE should be taken with a grain of salt.

I went to the first episode to see what the criteria was. It's a ranking of 1993-present day, and "List is heavily based on in-ring accomplishments, championship victories, and creating legendary moments."

Elizabeth wasn't a wrestler, so an honorable mention works. Most of Sherri's in-ring career was before 1993, so just honoring her for managing (if that's what they did) makes sense.

"Creating legendary moments" is one of those WWE phrases that should tell you that some of these picks might be reaches too.

This is the only true answer.

Maybe I'm reading way too much into this, but I was watching the 50 greatest tag teams special.

Fandango was wearing an interesting shirt. Either it's some "modernized retro" styled shirt, or maybe it's a possible new WWE logo?
