    Real or greatly over exaggerated?

I'm asking people's thoughts, not saying Cena is.

I don't know if Cena intentionally buries, but I do think he just does whatever Vince tells him without thinking about the future. A lot of people have heard Jericho and Edge tell that story on Jericho's podcast where Cena had an opportunity to put Wade Barrett over and potentially make him, but he chose to just go with the flow and beat him(like always), and that really set Barrett back for a long time.

It's a double edged sword TBH when asking if Cena is a reason people get buried or their booking gets whacked up after a program with him.

The problem with facing Cena is that he's the late 80's version of Hulk Hogan for this era. He is billed, and has been billed as the top guy for so long that if he legitimately loses a solid program against somebody that isn't as over or doesn't have enough of a base built for him, then he'll lose credibility. To me that's the last thing WWE would want for Cena.

And he also went to Jericho and Edge after the match was over and told them they were absolutely right about putting Barrett over but he didn't see it that way at the time. Seems like Cena's the kinda guy who always wants to do the right tonight but he's always being pulled in different directions between Vince and some of the other veterans.

I've never felt for one second that Cena is guilty of burying guys. If anything, he's one of those guys along the lines of Jericho, Edge, Punk, etc. that will go to Vince and the rest of the powers that be and put young guys over. The difference is, Jericho & Punk will then go to bat for the guy when Vince talks negatively about them. I think Cena knows his place and values his place and doesn't want to be one to rock the boat.

But from several accounts, Cena was one of the main reasons Ryder got a chance in the first place. He was putting Ryder over on Twitter and telling fans about the YouTube show and how great Ryder is, and talking Ryder up to Vince and the rest of the company. I just think that when it came to the time for Cena to do Vince's bidding, he isn't someone to say "no" to Vince.
