Raider, I wish I had a chance to get to know you better. I remember George South. He wrestled in the mid atlantic region in the 80's where I saw him, and frequently put over many of the NWA's stars and legends.

I have tremndous respect for those guys. Tremedous. Unfortunately, the mainstream wrestling climate these days doesn't have a place for the George South's of the world.

I would love to someday see a group of fans of old wrestling get together and fund some sort of game.

My biggest vice was WCCW. I used to watch it religiously. I loved their angles, and their mini feud with AWA. Made for some great matches and TV. Still remember the Kerry Von Erich/Jerry Lawler blood match for the AWA belt, or the Von Erich's vs. The Freebirds from Texas Stadium where the winning team got a car, and the car got destroyed. Or Chris Adams and Gino Hernandez's run as a tag team. WCCW was by far my favorite because it was just good. I don't know how else to describe it.

wccw was great. Rick rude, "iceman" parsons, and everybody else who went thru that fed made it great. One of my favorite things was the inter-federation fueds. When kerry von erich went agaisnt ric flair at one of the great american bash'es, it was so cool to see all the territories shooting for the NWA holy grail.

Get ready to get happy then, VCI Ent. is going to start releasing WCCW DVDs to the public, selling them in Walmarts, Best Buys Ect. Should be very cool, Kevin tried to release stuff on his website but he asked for too much money for what little you got. VCI should help bring the WCCW back mainstream, they also put out the SMW stuff and the Wrestling Gold series. Another sidenot Bill Watts Ex wife owns the rights to all the Mid South/UWF stuff and she sells it over at UbiversalWrestlingArchives.com I got a bunch of stuff from them and its just awesome.
