22 years ago..... this was released and thus a lot of friendships were broken.

I know this isn't the usual history stuff on here but man this was such a great game. Who could forget the intro?

There's somehow never been a Halloween Havoc on Halloween, but last year, there was a Crown Jewel.

I'm surprised they didnt just make it on Halloween this year. Perfect opportunity to do so.

            This one feels so weird.

15 years ago, a match between a 16 time world champ and a future 14 time world champ......inside a steel cage...for the IC Title.

It was HHHs first actual IC title match in 4 years (besides the stupid title unification in 2002), and Flairs first IC title defense.

15 years ago today, Eddie's last match.

Of course his last match ends with him winning via "DQ".

But it's kind of chilling seeing his last match and last appearance being after a chair shot like that, and knowing his painkiller addiction history among other things, and eventually what would happen with Benoit as a similar result of all those head shots.

Sucks that it took something like Eddie's death for WWE to eventually start doing their wellness testing.

The dumbest wrestling gimmick ever will never be as dumb as those awful chair shots. I guess that was the lasting ECW influence. They should have cut that **** out when they went public at least.

The real way to swing a chair:

Or better yet use one of those chairs with the foam pads that Hogan hit Slaughter with at WM7 lol.

And people say Hogan can’t work. That’s how you take care of a guy right there.

Theres still moves which shouldnt happen. I know Bryan still used the diving headbutt for years. That's a move which should 100% be banned in pro wrestling. It's not like a piledriver where only if the move goes wrong can you get hurt, a successful diving headbutt will mess you up just like an unsuccessful one.

Chair shots to the head I'm glad they're gone and should never come back, even if its protected shots. The most I'm fine with is those spots where you irish whip someones head into the steel post because the person can protect their head while running into the post themselves. Although the Lesnar one where he got legit busted open from it is a strong case for why it shouldn't happen.

Like I said in the AEW thread a while back, what Miz said years ago is true. A boring style might be boring, but it's safe. Compared to the indy and old school wrestling style where it's dangerous and takes years off your career and life.

I think if guys would have been taking them correctly with their hands up during the AE this wouldn’t be as big a deal. Dudes trying to one up each other and take them unprotected was stupid and shouldn’t have been allowed then which would have nipped a lot of the lawsuits in the bud.

The guy might be the only guy you could bash over the head an infinite amount of times and you’d never know the difference.

It's weird how in the AE, guys had way more of those head shots, but in RA era, you had way more blood. Both aren't great, but I'd imagine bleeding would impact you less than shots to the head.

Since Roman is all the talk and he likes to talk about being the head of the family, let's talk about his family.

November 15th, 1983: Rocky Johnson & Tony Atlas defeated the Wild Samoans to become the first African American WWE Tag Team Champions.

November 15th, 1998: With the WWE Championship vacant, Survivor Series 1998 turned into a one night tournament to crown a new champion. It came down to The Rock vs Mankind to determine the new Champion. In a rehash of the screw job one year earlier, Vince screwed Mankind making The Rock the youngest WWF Champion at the time. The Rock went from The People's Champion to the Corporate Champion, something that many fans wished happen at Survivor Series 2015 with Roman becoming The corporate champion for The Authority.
