That's the last thing they will do. If TNT/TBS wants them to go PG and push The Impractical Jokers as the tag champs, they will do it gladly. It is what is.

Going off the streaming disaster idea, I read every single word of what peter42O said. What he is proposing of AEW in year four is basically for them to evolve into a twisted version of WWE, which is opposite of what they are wanting to be and that has been well-stated. AEW always has been and hopefully will be an alternative to what WWE pushes.

If you want intercontinental or country-named titles, WWE has that already. Khan is trying to offer an alternative to what we already have and have had on the table for some time.

Yup, it’s the exact thing TNA did when Hogan/Bischoff were brought in and look what happened there.

Going PG and having Jokers as tag champs is why i would want the TV deal to be voided. I know it makes them a lot of money but now with Discovery involved to where they wouldn't allow the Briscoes until Jay died, then all of a sudden Mark is on the show almost every week. This is why I want the streaming direction because it would allow them to be like they were years ago where they were the alternative to WWE and based on wrestling. Now, they're going more in an entertainment direction and that's not why I started watching AEW in 2019.

Problem is that AEW is slowly but surely becoming WWE as opposed to the alternative to WWE. Look at what it is now. Jeff Jarrett wrestling? Why? So much younger and better talent and yet, it feels like im watching TNA. Then, they announce some kind of reality show or whatever it is a week ago. That's not a big announcement. That's a crap announcement.

Title wise, All Atlantic is basically Intercontinental but under a different name. My thing is a combination of old WWF and NWA/WCW. Have wrestlers who are young/green start at the bottom, maybe win the TV title and as they get older and gain experience, they move up the ladder to the next title.

The only comparisons I want with WWE is the title setup and having a development fed because AEW needs it 100%. Way too many inexperienced wrestlers every week being televised over more established wrestlers who are actually great. Look at Miro. How do they have NOTHING for this guy? Especially after extending him to a 5 year deal or something? I mean come on. So many young guys who shouldn't be on Dynamite or even Rampage. They should be on Dark/Elevation getting experience instead of being on TV despite being as green as grass.

I don't want any of those guys in AEW. And didn't Khan bring in Bischoff during the pandemic? UGH. I only want the championships to be better, have a few more of them and have a developmental fed. Other than that, I want WRESTLING. Not entertainment.

Look at the four way tag team title match Sunday. 56 year old Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal are one of the teams with Cassidy (despite being the All Atlantic champion and puts it in a school bag (smh) instead of wearing the title or at least holding it) and Danhausen.

How can anyone here say that AEW isn't already becoming WWE when you see Danhausen and Jarrett in a tag team title match. Come on. One should be backstage 100% and the other should have never been signed. If this isn't WWE like then I don't know what it is.

I just want AEW to have the freedom that they had when it started. The more Discovery gets involved, the more I believe the product will suffer. But to each their own.

Why do you think it’s because of Discovery and not Tony Khan maybe being a little lost/overwhelmed after getting past his first year of playing Extreme Warfare?

I definitely agree. They have been morphing in WWE for a while now. Part of the problem is being on weekly national television forces them to play the same game WWE does, but I also believe that Tony Khan isn't as anti-WWE as people think when it comes to what influences him and what he is a fan of. He's one of those fans that thinks WWE didn't start seriously going downhill until around 2016-2017, when in reality it was happening for a good 8+ years before that.

Also I think they've gotten into a creative rut. And I actually think them becoming more consistent from a production standpoint has led to a staleness. The shows were more exciting when they were learning along the way.

                  Trailer for AEW All Access.

Can't imagine I'll watch a single episode of this. Has those fake reality show vibes, but while also playing in to actual behind the scenes stuff we have heard.

This is just a TV show version of those quasi-shoot/work Impact "BTS" segments (think Hogan/Bischoff era) and WWE's BTS docs.

It might appeal to the hardcore AEW base but won't reach beyond that group, IMO.

Whatever helps Khan extend his TV deal makes sense, though. More shows mean more of a commitment from Discovery.

It's also Khan as he doesn't have a clue booking wise majority of the time but Discovery is the one who told him to tone down the profanity and adult oriented direction. Next up is the blood removal. Then look at their reality show. Why do wrestlers need a reality show? Why can't they all just concentrate on wrestling?

That's all I ask for. Just give me wrestling and better booking while seeing talent actually get used on a consistent basis. Khan needs bookers but he seems to be the type that isn't going to listen to anyone or at least that' how it appears sometimes.

Agreed. WWE started going downhill once the competition of WCW and ECW died. The Invasion angle could have been awesome but was disappointing and underwhelming. I stopped watching WWE and wrestling in general after Brock beat the Rock for the title. I only then watched for two years during CM Punk's run. Then I stopped again. lol

Been watching AEW since 2019 excluding the year during the pandemic because no having fans in the arena was the same as the NFL not having fans in the stadium. Just doesn't have the same impact. At least to me anyway. Once fans went back and things were more or less normal, I started watching again and still do every week but only Dynamite. For me to watch Rampage, it would have to be live and two hours because one hour late and taped. Nah.

I like the higher tier production. I like the ramp and the screens. I really like the ringside barricade because it seems like there's no "give" in them and that can make the moves during the matches when outside the ring seem a little more impactful.

I'm hoping Revolution has a few surprises or something because there's so much talent available. All we can do is just watch it all and see how it all goes.

The PPV card tonight looks pretty thin on paper, but AEW are usually pretty good at throwing in those cool moments and making PPVs feel special. But I'm not sure if relying on that by itself is enough to warrant the purchase. Just a lot of matches that don't feel particularly unique.

Feels like half the card was just thrown together.

But I'm looking forward to Danielson vs MJF, Page vs Mox, Jungleboy vs Christian and Starks vs Jericho.

Wardlow vs Joe is the main match I don't care about. Wardlow has taken a big hit since the MJF stuff ended.

US Cable Provider Spectrum may have leaked the dates for the next two AEW PPVs. They are listing Sunday May 28th as Double or Nothing and Forbidden Door 2 to take place June 24th(rumored to be held at the Tokyo Dome). AEW hasn't confirmed these dates.

I still don't like Sunday event times, surprised AEW isn't trying out Saturdays after WWE has shown Saturdays have boosted viewing numbers.

But Forbidden Door 2 in Japan on a Saturday will be fun. What time would the show be at though? 14-17 hour time difference.

Would they do Sunday afternoon in Tokyo show which would be 10pm on the east coast and 7pm west coast? That would do better than Saturday night in Tokyo which would be 6am east coast, 3am west coast.
