Jericho rumors if those are true, definitely a big problem for AEW. Was that the reason Kylie left? Because she really seemed like she was gonna be put in the role we eventually saw Britt Baker put in as the face of the division, then out of nowhere she left.

Re: AEW Off-Topic
You honestly think they would end their TV deal over that? That's a stretch.Comment

Re: AEW Off-Topic
Isn't WBD negotiating with WWE? If you're running WBD and see the low ratings for AEW, a potential legal disaster with Khan perhaps covering things up for Jericho and you can perhaps get WWE? It might be too hard to pass up for WBD.
According to Meltzer, AEW's TV rights deal for Dynamite, Collision and Rampage all expire on December 31st, 2024 so I don't think that this is out of the realm of possibility.Comment

Re: AEW Off-Topic
Don't know for certain if that's why Kylie Rae left but if that's all true, what other reason could it be? In my mind, it would only be money but im pretty sure she was already signed to AEW and then asked for her release, didn't she or am I way off here?Comment

Re: AEW Off-Topic
Could've sworn it was something like that when she left and stepped away from wrestling which is why nobody questioned why she left AEW at the time.Comment

Re: AEW Off-Topic
Looking it up, it was for personal reasons according to Rae. But who knows what those personal reasons were at the time.Comment

Re: AEW Off-Topic
Wonder if they'd drag it out long enough for Forbidden Door. That would make it interesting a bit. One name leading New Japan into AEW is an AEW talent who felt AEW turned their back on him.Comment

Re: AEW Off-Topic
AEW going back to the ranking system.
We'll see how it goes this time around. Cody was one of the people in favour of the ranking system, apparently Punk wasn't. Neither are around anymore.
I just found it harder to care for rankings when many matches most viewers aren't exactly watching.
Someone raking up wins on Rampage against lower level talent is suddenly showing up on Dynamite like "I'm 5-1, I deserve a shot!" when you beat the likes of Trent, Dante and others.Comment

Re: AEW Off-Topic
With Raw off USA, does AEW have a new possible partner for shows?
International TV market just opened wide up for them if they choose that over streaming.
Raw off SpikeTV is what led to TNA getting their big deal.
Internationally, Rogers/Sportsnet having all WWE is what led to Bell/TSN going after AEW. Now Rogers lost all WWE rights so AEW could have both competing companies trying to get AEW programming on their network (maybe they work a deal with both since they got 3 shows).
I imagine other countries could be the same.Comment
