Randomly found out Brodie Lee is a big Leafs fan.

Theres definitely some jokes to be had about losing/joining the dark order in here somewhere.

Pretty sure they signed a 4 year extension earlier this year, right?

Winning the demos, and doing well in ratings will make them just fine.

Sure but that doesn't mean there isn't an out-clause or anything like that.

I'm sure they'll be fine but anytime there is a drastic shift in upper management, everyone/everything gets re-evaluated.

It's like when a sports team hires a new GM. Often we see holdovers from the previous regime are by default on the chopping block just because they weren't picked by the new guy. But TV in 2020 isn't what it was in 1999. TNT ending their relationship with AEW (and the Khan relation therein) because they might look down on wrestling would be pretty ignorant.

In today's day and age if any exec looks down on wrestling, or any show doing well for that network for that matter, and wants it off their network, they have no business being an exec.

I mean especially nowadays, there's way more shows out there which are much more outrageous and looked down on than a show like wrestling.

                    Most reality shows for example.

Yes WCW had a ton of issues in 2001 when Vince bought them but Eric Bischoff was ready to buy it until he lost the TV deal because the new executives in charge wanted nothing to do with Wrestling. If the new person in charge has the same attitude and wants nothing to do with wrestling then there is nothing Tony Khan, Cody or anyone can do about it.

I've always said Pro Wrestling was reality TV BEFORE reality TV became "cool" and hip to watch. With live shows, you never knew who was going to show up on RAW or Nitro, there wasn't no need back then to manufacture drama the way you see these reality shows today.

I looked this up to see if TNT has ever done NFL games and apparently they did Sunday Night Football from 1990 - 1997. The NFL TV Contracts are coming up in the next couple years. Tony is Co-Owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars with his father, and hypothetically speaking if Turner wanted to have NFL games again to go along with the NBA then working with an NFL Owner would go a long way toward that. If they put in a bid, Tony can talk them up to the NFL Owners to help broker the deal, etc. Hypothetically of course but both sides would benefit.

Not AEWs fault, but I'm sure they wouldn't be too happy about this.

Jerichos band Fozzy played a concert with thousands in attendance and no masks.

To steal a tweet I saw online, "the only social distancing at this concert was Jerichos hairline".

Sure AEW does testing before their shows, but just seems stupid on Jerichos part to have a concert like that, especially when AEW guys I believe have even taken shots at WWEs lack of proper safety practices in place a month or two back.

This is what Jericho said about this:

The reason why the shows have happened is because these states of North Dakota and South Dakota have low COVID cases, less than 1,000 in both states, I think Florida had 9,000 today alone.”

“The venues are either outside, or they are half capacity,” Jericho stated. “We are sold out tonight in Minot with I think 50% capacity, last night we were sold out in Sioux Falls, SD with 35% capacity. We hand out masks at the door, the temperature checks. We stay on the bus all day, the Fozzy crew and camp have been tested.”

It's definitely an area where population density alone helps slow the spread. Probably wouldn't want my 60+ year old dad going to it, but people are gonna make their own choices. Jericho from the start hasn't been the most cautious about the whole pandemic situation.

Isn’t the concern, at least for the Sturgis show, that it’s in the middle of the rally attended by bikers from all around? It’s not just residents of South Dakota so pointing out the state’s numbers are misleading.

I’m all for doing normal stuff if people can be safe about it, but I also don’t know that I’d take the risk for a Fozzy concert of all things.

True. This will always be my favorite Fozzy song.
