Re: AEW Discussion Thread
Seems odd that you’d be 10 days out and people don’t know how to buy it what it costs.

Re: AEW Discussion Thread
Wednesday is the big day. The upfront event where we'll find out the network/day/time AEW will be airing on, and most other details we're probably finding out about AEW as well.Comment

Re: AEW Discussion Thread
Coming to post. PPV steamed on BRLive. Looks like $10 a month cost but also extra for PPVs so do we still not know the exact price to stream or am I missing something? Looks like weekly shows will be streamed on BRLive as well. Which is good since I don't have cable.

Re: AEW Discussion Thread
BR Live is where the Tiger and Phil matchup was streamed and they ended up refunding a ton of those buys because the stream kept crashing.
Let’s hope they’ve made some improvements since then.

Re: AEW Discussion Thread
Find it hilarious that this deal has been announced for 2.5 hours and we still don't know any of the particulars of the TV deal. We learned nothing new except it's going to be exclusively streamed on BR Live, but you could've assumed that based on who the TV partner was going to be. We haven't learned who's paying who, what night the show is going to be on, is it going to be a 2 or 3 hour show.Comment

I need it to be an hour and I need it to have jobber matches.

Re: AEW Discussion Thread
I would be stunned if they got anything more than 1 hour. TNT has so much original programming and other commitments, they are going to only dedicate so much to a new company like AEW.Too Old To Game Club

Re: AEW Discussion Thread
Also some of the information has come out. They have a deal similar to the XFL, they aren't getting a rights fee but TNT is covering the production costs and they are going to split the ad revenue. So it turns out TheWrap who had reported the time buy was closer than the wrestling reporters. Still don't how long it is or what night it's on though.Comment

Re: AEW Discussion Thread
I think it’s gotta be Wednesday and I think the smart move at first would be one hour.
Which means they’ll go two hours on Friday night and the show will be dead in 6 months. Lol

Re: AEW Discussion Thread
They don't have any original programming. They have like 4 shows that will still be running (as in not cancelled) when AEW comes to TV. Their original programming for the most part has been miniseries such as Charles Barkley's American Race or The Alienist. Everything else is either movies or a rerun of Bones, Supernatural or something. Looking at their primetime lineup for the next week whenever if it's not the NBA playoffs, it's some movie.

Smart to have TNT cover production costs, that's what sinks new organizations *ie AAF*. Maybe they will end up with 2 hours if they really can fit the time into their schedule, but I would imagine at first they would go 1 hour as a test run.
Also, please do not run on Monday or Tuesday. Going against the WWE on their nights is never a smart decision. Do W-Thur-Fri. Hell, they could even go the weekend, although I doubt that's something AEW would really want.Too Old To Game Club
