Re: AEW Off-Topic
Nice interview with Don Callis on TSN. I hope TSN continues doing more of these. They used to have so many back when they had Raw on the network, but the second they lost the rights they stopped caring about wrestling completely for almost the next 15 years.
Also brings up the question, what is the best Canadian wrestling city in the world?
Jericho and Piper not born in Winnipeg, but they grew up there so it counts. Kenny Omega and Callis obviously from there.
It has to be Calgary for obvious reasons right? Toronto would be in contention too, depending how technical we're getting since many are billed from Toronto, but they're from outside the city (it'd be like saying you're from NYC when you're from Brooklyn or Long Island or something like that)Last edited by Majingir; 01-21-2021, 10:02 PM.Comment

Re: AEW Off-Topic
Brooklyn and Queens are both on Long Island and are both part of NYC though. If you’re born in either one, you were born in NYC. All 5 boroughs certainly have their own identities and pride but all 5 are what make up NYC as a whole.

Re: AEW Off-Topic
I dont know US geography lol.
But if they count as NYC, does that mean if you're mailing something to someone in Brooklyn, you could write NYC as the city instead? I know in Toronto, some nearby neighborhoods you could say Toronto and it's fine, but theres points where it's like you cant claim its Toronto anymore (an issue when applying for jobs too as some say it's in Toronto, only to find out it's an hour away from the city).Comment

I’ve never mailed anything to anyone in NYC so I’m not 100% sure. But NYC has multiple zip codes. So I think technically you’re supposed to put the Borough and the correct zip code. But I’m guessing if you just put New York City and and then the correct zip code it will still get where it needs to. The zip code is the most important part outside of the street address.
There is a fun fact about Brooklyn, if you did remove it from NYC and it became its own city. It would be like 5th biggest city in the United States or something crazy like that.

Re: AEW Off-Topic
This is big (no pun intended)!
AEW has signed Paul Wight, aka Big Show!
Not that I think he'll be used as a wrestler, but I never realized he was looking for a way out of WWE! He's been as loyal as anyone in WWE the last 20 years. I dont think he's even been with another company since he left WCW in 99. He literally appeared on Raw last month.
Could he be part of the Shaq/Cody story in some way?
They say he'll be doing commentary for their AEW Dark show on Mondays. I'm sure he's doing more than just that though behind the scenes. Maybe even working with guys like Archer, Wardlow and others to really stand out as big men?
I heard rumors that they could've been interested in Christian as well. Maybe its partly why they had Christian return at the rumble? If he really is cleared to compete again, probably dont want him going to AEW, since they know he has no problem leaving WWE.Last edited by Majingir; 02-24-2021, 12:41 PM.Comment
