I didnt mean Omos will be as athletic as Shaq, I just think if Shaq was a wrestler, he could be like how I think Omos ends up.

    Back to AEW talk.

Paul "No more BS" Wight says a HOF worthy talent will be going to AEW on Sunday. I wonder who that could be. Another former WWE talent? Someone from Impact?

Honestly the Shaq stuff was better than I could have hoped. Some classic celebrity sports entertainment there lol.

Much like everyone else, I had lowest of low expectations, and the match was a ton of fun. Show was a nice go home show overall for me, and I'm pretty excited for the PPV. Last year thought Revolution was the best PPV of the year. Don't think this will reach that height but will hopefully be nice all the same.

My guess is Batista. Always possible it’s CM Punk or Brock Lesnar but I’d say probably not them.

Can't be Batista since he's going into the WWE Hall of Fame this year and likely has a Legends Contract. I can see it being Punk since he told Renee that all the guys he wants to face are in AEW. Perhaps Okada to feud with Omega in AEW which I'd be down for and you know AEW will let them go near an hour like their matches in Japan.

Otherwise if it's not them two, it will be a Giant disappointment by Paul Wight.

Punk said on Twitter it’s not him, unless he’s working everybody. It could be RVD or Christian too, I like them but I wouldn’t think they would meet the hype around Wight’s announcement

Given the nature of the HOF, I wonder what would've happened had someone going into the HOF showed up in AEW before they got inducted as the class of 2020.

Theres so many possible names. I'm looking forward to this announcement almost as much as the deathmatch. Feels almost like a lose lose situation they might've put themselves in. If it's not someone huge, it'll be a disappointment, if it's a big name, it's likely someone people have already speculated on.

Just set your bar at Kurt Angle. If it's a bigger name, awesome. If not, well...he's still a decent name they can work angles with.

But please, no matches if it's him.

Angle makes sense, but I'm not sure what he offers aside from just being a big name from WWE. Maybe he's a manager? For the love of god don't have a GM character.

Maybe Angle wants to go out on his own terms?

Watching the revolution countdown, Sting said something I never realized.

When has Sting gone out on his terms?

WCW just shut down, nowhere to go after that. He had the match with Flair, but was injured for a few months leading up to that.

Then in TNA, he did have a career ending match, but that wasn't like he was planning on ending his career, he was headed to WWE.

And we all know what happened to end his time in WWE.

So perhaps whenever his career really ends, he goes out on his terms for a change.

Same with Angle too. I'm sure a match vs Corbin at Wrestlemania isn't the way Angle pictured going out.

I'm sure it's not, but...I mean, look at him at this point. A strong sneeze could take him out.

Hindsight being 20/20, he should have called it a career after the tag match with Rousey. That was one of my favorite Wrestlemania matches in the past five or so years

Angle put up a video on IG of him in ring gear, with "to be continued" at the end. I've been defending AEW for bringing in older talent, but if he's actually coming in to wrestle it'll be a bridge too far. He looks to be in great condition, but we know he is hurt and broken down.

If he posted a video, that rules him out for me. AEW’s been good so far at keeping secrets as secrets until they’re revealed, and I don’t see them letting him post a video that spoils it.

It’s probably Kurt seeing the buzz and having fun with it and he can maybe get some publicity for whatever his “to be continued” turns out to be.

I think it would be hilarious.
