Annnd yet another thing that makes AEW TV more like WWE. A reality show tie-in. I swear at one point AEW was trying to be the anti-WWE, but that was probably wishful thinking.

They knew well enough to say what the internet wanted to hear.

Britt Baker: Takes shot at Mick Foley.

Mick Foley: And I took that personally.

So with NXT now confirmed for Tuesdays, I wonder what AEW ratings would end up being. Could it top the 1m mark?

Eh. Might hover the 1m mark, but it would shock me if they ever get above that even with NXT going to Tuesdays.

I doubt it, outside of special episodes.

Christian's first match back felt like Christian in his last WWE run.

And felt weird seeing them advertising John Cena during AEW. No, if you missed the show, Cena didnt show up on Dynamite.

Sure, its just Cena hosting Wipeout on TBS, but it's still a show being promoted in the middle of Dynamite.

QT Marshall is the leader of his own faction? Yeah maybe it's gone too far lol.

Yes, AEW has so many factions, but I find that more interesting than generic singles guy #19. At least there's some extra purpose with some people.

Sure, QTs group isn't anything interesting, but they'd be even less interesting on their own.

Factions in general make wrestling shows better for the promotion and for fans. It adds purpose to matches that would otherwise just seem thrown together for no reason, it builds up lower card guys because they aren't left alone to flounder and be irrelevant, and having guys leave one group for another is an easy and obvious way to tell stories. It's an all around good thing for everyone.

It also adds importance and doesn't require someone in a match all the time.

Is QT vs Lee Johnson an interesting match? No.

Is Heel faction leader QT vs Nightmare Factory member and former QT trainee Lee Johnson more interesting? Yes.

That Arcade Anarchy match was insane and awesome. Miro looked like a monster through the whole thing. It took all three of the Best Friends to put him away and Kip Sabian of course eats the pin.

Good to see Trent back. Good to see Trent’s mom back.

And awesome to see Kris Statlander back.

I would agree if this was actually the case in AEW. A lot of people are forgotten even with the stables. This only worked in NJPW.
