They've definitely been putting minimal effort into these Friday shows. Maybe they think it won't harm viewer retention, but they still aren't at the point where they can be concerned with that.
They need to be worried about growing viewership and these Friday night shows aren't helping, TBH.
Well, the wrestling blogs and IWC might have had a more positive opinion of last night. Then again, that is just the vocal minority and doesn't tap into the opinions of casual fans....
On the plus side, this was the last non live show with no real crowd.
Next week will be on Saturday, but with a live crowd.
Then they go back to Wednesday infront of crowds to end June, and back on the road in July.
Jade shouting out the Toronto Four Seasons. I thought it was a random shoutout, but turns out they're owned by Tony's dad.
The hotel is about several minutes away from the former Maple Leaf Gardens (home to the old Maple Leaf wrestling, and has held a couple of ROH events). Definitely see them getting an AEW show once AEW is allowed hosting full capacity events in Toronto.
My only real complaint is when are the baby faces going to close out the show getting one over on the heels? Hopefully once they get back out on the road, because it’s starting to get repetitive watching Matt leaving Christian writhing on the ground, or the Bucks super kicking someone into oblivion week in and week out.
Having said that, main event was a real joy to watch as Kenny and Jungle Boy put on a clinic. And judging by last weeks BTE, I’m hoping that Hangman Adam Page is soon in the title picture.

I'm at least relieved that he beat Jungle Boy clean with no funny business. Felt like Omega's reign needed a clean win. I will at least give them credit in the fact that I really am gonna lose my mind when Omega/YB finally lose.

It hasn't reached WCW levels of NWO always getting one over on the babyfaces yet but it's getting there. I don't mind a heel elite at all but at some point they need to get what's coming to them.
