So... what is the difference between Sasha Banks and Mercedes Mone character wise? Like Jon Moxley vs Dean Ambrose, two completely different characters and persona. While it seems Mercedes has Marc Mero syndrome where he only knew how to play the Johnny B. Badd Character, it's like she only knows how to do the Sasha Banks character.

Maybe I'm missing out because I'm not watching week to week, but AEW really has just stopped being an alternative to WWE. They aren't doing anything meaningfully different or interesting compared to them. You can say the in-ring and physicality is different, but only in certain matches.

How many times have we seen contract signings where one of the wrestlers goes through the table? Every week thr shows are full of the same old same old tropes. And now they're doing the heel GM thing too? It's like the booking is on wrestling cliche autopilot. Why watch AEW when WWE is already doing those things?

Too bad AEW doesn't utilize ROH like a developmental system where compelling talent get brought up.

I like The Righteous. They give off an FCW/NXT Wyatt Family vibes.

And the week prior we saw Dalton Castle back in AEW for a match.

You might see these guys on ROH once or twice a month if that, hard to keep up when the people you like aren't shown much.


Also, The Bang Bang Gang entrance is one of the better ones in all of AEW. Simple yet cool.

AEW can not escape injuries no matter what they do. Eddie Kingston is out of Double or Nothing with a leg injury.

Lol yes 1000% I got crushed a couple years ago when I said she was arguably the worst of the horsewoman because she has had exactly 0% character growth/change since she debuted. Even when she flips Heel/Face there’s not really any difference.

Tony Khan rushing to do a match/angle too soon (to hopefully pop a rating) and not building to create long-term intrigue. Where have we heard all that before?

Which is a little funny cause he waited a month or two for Moné to finally have a match, but people (read: the IWC) complained she was too 'boring' and too 'similar to her WWE gimmick" to go so long without wrestling.

Don't get why Ospreay gets a shot now, especially when you announced the Owen cup winner gets a title shot in London.

So does he win the title now and just become the defending champ in London?

He loses at Forbidden Door and wins the Owen cup too and gets another shot?

Everybody loves the Acclaimed.... except Matthew & Nicholas Jackson. Brutal just cutting their segment like that but hey, that's wrestling. Sometimes your segment makes it on the air, sometimes it gets cut. Tough lesson taught by the AEW EVPs... but a necessary lesson.

I'm going to assume this will lead to some kind of power struggle between The Bucks & Omega/TK and a match for "control" of AEW?

They'll definitely have a blood and guts match probably next month if they follow a similar timeline as past 2 years.

Don't see July 24th being announced for a location yet. That could be the show.

Private Party on TV Time With Jericho next week, hopefully they finally get a shot again at something notable. Ever since they teamed with Matt Hardy years ago they fell completely off the map when at one time they really could've been one of AEWs top tag teams, in a similar spot the acclaimed are in right now.
