Excalibur has corrected himself like 5 times tonight for minor mistakes, I wonder if Khan is on the headset correcting him like Vince did back in the day lol.

Overall I really like this commentary team. They still talk way too much for my taste, but Nigel McGuiness' slower delivery counteracts that a bit.

Stupid, needless stipulation (as well as making it a 'double title' match) to try and create intrigue for a big show. Especially with the absence of a compelling storyline or even feud.

It's been a damn good match, though. I'll give Danielson and Okada that but they are both great workers.

Flat ending to a pretty good match. Hard to have the style of match Danielson and Okada are capable of on TV with ad breaks.

Did Ricochet technically pin Ospreay? Looks like he got his hand on Ospreays shoulder or something, but Ospreay had Ricochet covers with like 90% of his body.

Don't see the point of a draw just to end it in a DQ. Technically we got 3 results in this match? Both guys won, lost and match ended with a DQ.

They have confirmed that the AEW Library will be available on MAX, which is long overdue in my opinion. Just like with WWE, it's fun to go back and watch the classic stuff. So doing it with AEW to see how far they have come in 5 years would be amazing.

Just think back to 2019 when this all started and the current timeline we are in right now. Roman was still a long way from starting the Bloodline storyline, Cody back in WWE? Not a chance, yet now Cody & Roman are the top 2 Superstars in WWE. I thought Jericho would have returned to WWE before Cody ever did. Bryan Danielson was about to become WWE Champion and is now the AEW World Champion. Edge was still retired, and even when he returned to WWE you assume he's a WWE lifer, now he's in AEW. Crazy how much things have changed in 5 short years.

Tell someone that by AEWs 5 year anniversary that Cody Rhodes will be in WWE as the champ and Vince McMahon has 0 ties to the company anymore (despite still being alive) is probably the biggest mind-blowing fact.

Then add in Edge and Sasha Banks also being in AEW and CM Punk choosing to return in AEW before winding back in WWE, and this crazy timeline just gets crazier.

Adam Page is the only person who competed in the 1st episode and 5 year episode.

Jericho, Young Bucks, Pac, Britt, Excalibur, Tony are the only others who appeared on both I believe.

                Cedric is in NXT now.

Lashley was a FA and I believe he's signed with AEW already. No 90 day clause since his WWE deal ran out.

Supposedly behind the scenes Cody was the most vocally anti-WWE in The Elite when they first formed AEW. He was the guy saying "don't ever go there," "they are the worst." Omega and the Bucks had good convos with Triple H on multiple occasions, and could have easily gone there in 2019 or even after AEW formed.

I still think Cody leaving was the biggest blow to AEW. He left a huge hole in weekly programming and PPVs.

Imo Cody leaving hurt AEW MORE off-screen than on screen.

And seeing how he's the main guy at lots of these press conferences too, you can see why. Leaving AEW turned out to be the best thing thing he ever did.

Whenever his in ring career is over, he could easily be a producer or executive within WWE or easily just go back to AEW as an EVP.

He was coming off the Stardust run. I don't think anyone can blame him for being anti-WWE at that point.

Cody definitely didn't half *** it, and it gave him a chance to get out of his shell and let loose with his personality. His in-ring style didn't really match well with that gimmick tho imo. He's never been super athletic or much of a high flyer, which would have fit Stardust more to me. But the personality he showed opened the door to the extreme heel gimmick he played after leaving WWE. He needed the volume turned up, and it did the trick.

So, the go home show was last night; Title Tuesday, in front of 1,700 people. This can't be the lead up to Danielson's last match...

Not only that, but a record low viewership of 329,000. Their previous low record was 462,000 back in 2021. It's crazy how AEW went from running the small arenas like that, to being able to get into bigger arenas that WWE uses and now they are back to small arenas. The Tacoma Dome for Wrestle Dream is set up for under 7500 people with less than a thousand tickets remaining.

So Bryan isn't even going to be having his final match in a big arena and full crowd.

Adam Cole has returned to get revenge on MJF for ... we're just gonna pretend he didn't turn on MJF, aren't we? Lol. Oh well. Maybe they'll just start the entire storyline over again. I'm just glad Cole is back.
