So pretty much, this knocks him out for over a year.

That's what I thought his announcement a few weeks ago was. Instead he was like "I'm hurt, I'll be out for a few weeks", then a few weeks later we get this news.

Also sounds like Swerve could be done for a while too. This will hurt aew a lot with those two injured.

Nigel competing while Danielson is the one on commentary is funny given how often Nigel likes to rip Danielson on commentary. Would've been funnier if Danielson repaid him the favour. The ending for that match felt like they messed it up and redid it right after.

Brodito winning the tag titles seemed like a weird choice. Once Hurt Syndicate was taken out I thought for sure FTR was winning and setting up FTR vs Cope/Christian for the tag titles in Toronto, but looks like that's not going to happen? And the ending of that match also felt so weird like they forgot what was supposed to happen during the pin attempt.

Lights out steel cage looked like HIAC just without a roof. The match was what you expected, but to me it didn't stand out as some huge match where the result of the match impacts anything.

But Swerve and Ospreay being taken out of action for a long time will hurt AEW for sure. In hindsight maybe they should have lost the tag match and not be able to challenge for the title for a year since they won't be around anyways.

Tony Khan announced new AEW Women's Tag Team Titles on Dynamite. I hate that they went the WWE route and just made them exactly like the Men's Tag Titles. Give them their own identity.

November 13th, 2024. That was Britt Baker's last appearance in AEW. They were in Pittsburgh tonight and still no Britt Baker, she WWE Bound or what?

Adam Copeland tells Christian Cage he has to go home and take care of Beth and his family. He says he's not sure if he'll be back.

Hmmmm.... his contract is up in October and that is enough time before Cena's retirement match in December, just saying.

I could see them just keeping her under contract until the deal is up then let her walk.

No reason for them to let her go early. Especially seeing how various talents have been handled by WWE since AEW let them leave, with Ricky and Mariah being the most recent examples.

Seeing the exact wording of what was said, to me it really does feel more like a "I'm leaving for a few weeks/months" type of thing and not an actual send off. They even had FTR talking about Cope and Beth. Doesn't sound like a one time thing. I could see Cope coming back in a few months maybe channeling the darker side (original Judgment Day version of him that he wanted WWE to do before they changed things up on him)?

It's funny to think he'd go back to WWE and face someone like Cena one last time, but it makes less sense to think they'd actually bring Beth in just to get attacked just for Cope to leave AEW altogether and that's how they write off his AEW career.

Outside of a match vs Cena, I don't even know what they would have planned for him. He left right near the start of HHH taking over and it didn't seem like they had a whole lot for him to do.

But it would be funny if he had a WWE sendoff in Toronto and an AEW sendoff also in Toronto just a few years apart when nobody even knew at the time that he was leaving.

Samoa Joe getting multiple F bombs past the censors was funny.

Not like this time around he'd want to leave to be with his wife. I think that also played a factor in it all. Similar with Black leaving AEW to go back to WWE.

At least they gave him a mouthpiece. That's been his most obvious weakness from day 1.

But I think he makes history as the first to "defect" this many times?

Went from WWE to AEW back to WWE now back to AEW.

This heel Hologram clone story reminds me of:
