I'm putting my trust in you to bring my Phils back to glory.. and not be Amaro!
Cause if you do anything Amaro may do... you should just stop now and reconsider your life style! Haha. But in all seriousness as a Phils fan I'm rooting for you and hope this ends up well.

      Series #8:

      (11-12) @
      (11-14)

Game 1: A terrible day for the Phillies, as Patrick Corbin tosses a no hitter to open the series. The 24 year old lefty wasn't dominant, but every well hit ball found a D-back glove to earn Corbin his first win of the year.

Game 2: In the middle game, Roberto Hernandez kept his hot pace going, and now has a WHIP of just 0.79 this season. A regression towards the mean is bound to happen, but fans must be thrilled from Hernandez' early season success.

Game 3: Cliff Lee remains winless on the season, as Brad Lincoln loses his second game in five days. The first four Phillies reached base today, but then Brandon McCarthy found his rhythm to keep the game within reach.

Lot's of Phillies fans roaming around this forum, happy I found a team that people can get behind. As far as Ruben Amaro is concerned, he's already long gone. Overpriced veterans will be a thing of the past come 2016.

                Drive to Allentown

                (14-11) @
                (12-13)

Game 1: With the team getting a day off to travel back home, we'll take a trip up 476 to Allentown, home of our AAA Lehigh Valley Ironpigs. It was a premium matchup, with Felix Doubrant facing off against the Phillies best pitching prospect Jesse Biddle.

As expected, both offense struggled against big league talents. Biddle was devastating early with his change, striking out 6 in the first three innings. He looks the part of a key piece of the rotation in the foreseeable future. A callup by July is quite unlikely, yet the team would like to find a spot for him if he continues to succeed in AAA. Top prospect Maikel Franco smashed a clutch double down the left field line to plate the winning run for LV.

Below will be a look at our top prospects start to 2014.

If it keeps up I'll manage the team myself and send Sandberg out to pinch hit.

Sandberg was my favorite player growing up as a kid. I still have a notebook full of baseball cards of him including several rookie cards..

I wish the Cubs would done right by making him their manager, but I wish him all the best in Philly.

                      Series #9:

                      (10-15) @
                      (12-14)

Game 1: David Wright drove in all four runs for the Mets today, including a three run homer early on. Cole Hamels falls to 1-4 on the season despite his ERA sitting at just 2.53.

Game 2: In the second game of this short series, the bats woke up a little. By a little I mean a lot of singles..all 11 hits were singles. It was enough to split the series, as Jonathan Pettibone allowed just two hits in eight, keeping the Mets off balance all game.

In other news, SP AJ Burnett has completed his rehab stint in Lehigh Valley and will be moved back to the active roster. Burnett will retake his spot in the rotation, meaning he won't pitch for five more days. Pettibone will work out of the bullpen, and the team has sent 3B Cody Asche back down to AAA.

                        Series #10:

                        (13-15) @
                        (13-5)

Game 1: Denard Span hit a 3-run home run to lead the way for Washington, while Ryan Zimmerman reached base four times. Carlos Ruiz finally fought his way above the .200 mark, collecting three hits in the loss.

Game 2: A scary sight to begin game two of the series, with Roberto Hernandez leaving the game after just one batter. Hernandez has a finger injury, luckily the X-rays came back negative. The team has announced he is day-to-day. AJ Burnett was bumped up to fill in and pitch today, meaning Hernandez could pitch in a couple days if healthy.

Ben Revere was the hero today, going 3/3 with a double and triple. Jimmy Rollins continues to hit well, driving in two runs.

Game 3: Stephen Strasburg was on his game today, forcing plentiful popups and choppers. Cliff Lee is now 0-4 on the season, and one has to wonder whether he still has the ability to be a top pitcher in the league. Lee has allowed ten home runs on the season, second in the entire major leagues.

Hope Hamels isn't out to long. That could really hurt you chances to compete this year..

Crazy to see the AL West Standings so much like real life, with the A's dominating and the M's playing above .500 ball. Their record in any other division both A.L and they would only be a .5 game out.

Hamels being put sure hurts the chance at competing. If he's out long I'd say blow it up. It would take at least a year amd a half for Hamels to recover.

Lee, Papelbon, Byrd, and Utley could bring back a solid haul of prospects for the future.
