      First Half

      Chavis Holmes hits a 3pter and after Nweke tips in a rebound, Williams drops in a layup. After Brown drills a jumper, Williams buries a jumper to give VMI a 7-4 lead with just over 15:00 remaining. Turner banks in a layup then after Chavis Holmes sinks a 3pter, Turner makes 1 of 2 free throws and lays in a rebound. Chavis Holmes converts a 3-point play and cans a turnaround jumper then after Roche banks in a runner, Lonon makes 1 of 2 free throws and Hunter banks in a layup on a fast break. Brown nails a 3pter then Travis Holmes and Brownfield sink jumpers to give the Keydets an eight point lead, 22-14, halfway through the opening half. Lonon lays in a rebound and after Hooper nails a jumper, Kenon drops in a layupon a fast break. Hampton and Hooper swish jumpers then Williams banks in a layup and hits a 3pter. Hampton buries a turnaround jumper and Hooper puts in a layup on a fast break then Chavis Holmes knocks down a 3pter to give VMI a ten point lead, 34-24, with 5:00 to go. Josey and Hooper trade layups then after Williams makes 1 of 2 free throws, Brown and Chavis Holmes trade layups. Roberts converts a 3-point play and after Lonon cans 1 of 2 free throws, Chavis Holmes and Hampton trade layups as the Keydets take a nine point lead into halftime. VMI's Chavis Holmes leads all scorers with 18 points and Hooper leads UL Monroe with 8.

      Second Half
      Nweke tips in a rebound and lays in a rebound then after Chavis Holmes sinks a jumper, Hampton drains a runner. Hooper hits a 3pter and after Nweke banks in a runner to tie the game, Williams tips in a rebound to give VMI the lead, 46-44, with just under 15:00 remaining. Williams drives into the lane and slams in a dunk then after Chavis Holmes banks in a umper, Brown lays in a rebound. Williams hits a 3pter and converts a 3-point play then Payne banks in a layup to pull UL Monroe to withn eight, 56-48, midway through the second half. Williams banks in a layup and after Hampton makes 1 of 2 free throws, Brown lays in a rebound. Brown buries a 3pter and Turner cans a turnaround jumper then Lonon sinks two free throws to give the Keydets a five point lead, 60-55, with just under 5:00 to go. Turner lays in a rebound and after Lonon makes 1 of 2 free throws, Turner and Brasher sink jumpers to tie the game. Brown banks in a layup to give the War Hawks the lead then Lonon banks in a layup on a fast break and Williams nails a short turnaround jumper from the left block to give VMI the lead with 39 seconds left. A shot by Hooper is missed and UL Monroe starts fouling. With 6.2 seconds to play, the Keydets beat the press and Chavis Holmes converts a 3-point play with just a few ticks on the clock to seal the victory.

            Thanks for reading and the feedback.

            My challenge with VMI is to change them from a run-and-gun team to a more conventional one. Last year in real life the Keydets led division I in scoring, averaging over 100 points a game. This season in real life they are averaging about 98 points a game but three of those games were against teams that are not in division I (and also not in the ps2 version of ch2k8). Reggie Williams led the nation in scoring last year but so far he has been struggling a bit thanks to getting into early foul trouble. (I have my foul out fouls set to 4 instead of 5).

Gray jams in a dunk after a rebound then after Gray slams another dunk home, Chavis Holmes drills a 3pter to pull VMI to within four, 14-10, with under 15:00 remaining. Brownfield banks in a layup and after Lonon makes 1 of 2 free throws, Gray nails a short jumper. Travis Holmes puts in a layup then Gray drops in a short jumper from the right block to give Michigan State a three point lead, 18-15, halfway through the opening period. Mosley and Morgan trade layups then after Travis Holmes sinks a short jumper, Neitzel buries a 3pter. Travis Holmes puts in a layup and after Suton and Sargent trade jumpers, Neitzel and Sargent trade jumpers.                               First Half

                              Diebler makes two free throws and after Williams puts in a layup, Butler buries a 3pter. Williams cans two free throws then after Koufos banks in a layup, Othello Hunter dunks in a rebound and Diebler drops in a layup. Othello Hunter dunks in a rebound and banks in a jumper then Travis Holmes sinks a couple of layups to pull VMI to within seven, 15-8, with under 15:00 remaining. Koufos lays in a rebound then after Williams and Lonon both nail 3pters, Koufos tips in a rebound to give Ohio State a five point lead, 19-14, halfway through the opening half. Diebler banks in a layup then after Othello Hunter banks in a couple of layups on fast breaks, Koufos sinks a hook. Diebler converts a 3-point play and after Chavis Holmes hits a short turnaround jumper, Koufos banks in a layup. Hill lays in a rebound and Diebler puts in a layup on a fast break then Williams and Lighty trade 3pters as the Buckeyes are on a 20-5 run and open up a 20-point lead, 39-19, with just under 5:00 to go. Othello Hunter drains a runner and makes 1 of 2 free throws then after Turner hits a jumper, Travis Holmes drills a 3pter. Ohio State's Othello Hunter leads all scorers with 13 points and Williams leads VMI with 10.

                              Hill makes 1 of 2 free throws then after Lonon and Wallace trade layups, Turner puts in a layup on a fast break. Lauderdale lays in a rebound and after Travis Holmes cans two free throws, Butler sinks a jumper. After Brownfield drops in a layup, VMI is down by 23, 55-32, with 15:00 remaining. Turner puts in a layup and banks in a short turnaround jumper then after Williams makes 1 of 2 free throws, Othello Hunter sinks a jumper. Butler drops in a layup and after Chavis Holmes converts a 3-point play, Houston nails a 3pter and a jumper. Kenon and Diebler trade 3pters as Ohio State now leads by 22, 66-44, midway through the second half. Christian Hunter puts in a layup then after Turner and Brownfield trade jumpers, Christian Hunter hits a 3pter on a fast break. Lauderdale banks in a jumper and after Bell banks in a layup, Lauderdale swishes a short turnaround jumper. Christian Hunter and Wallace trad layups as the Buckeyes lead by 19, 74-55, with just under 5:00 to go.
