    First Half

    Massey puts in a layup on a fast break and Newsom makes two free throws and after Clayton lays in a rebound, House sinks a jumper. Ray drains a 3pter then after Frederick lays in a rebound, Simon cans two free throws. Frederick swishes a hook and a short turnaround jumper and after Kinloch drills two free throws, Hinds nails a short jumper. Hinds drops in a layup and a short jumper then Dixon banks in a layup on a fast break to pull North Texas to within seven, 18-11, halfway through the opening half. Zuzak drains a runner and Massey slams in a dunk on a fast break and after Massey puts in a layup, Dickey and Bragg trade one free throw. Frederick banks in a jumper and Bragg drops in a layup then after Clayton sinks a hook, Zuzak drops in a layup on a fast break. Clayton converts a 3-point play then Kelley puts in a layup on a fast break to pull the Mean Green to within a dozen at halftime. Boise State's Frederick leads all scorers with 8 points and Clayton leads the Mean Green with 7.

    Second Half
    House sinks a hook then after Clayton and Sargent nail short turnaround jumpers, Frederick and House put in layups. Frederick drops in a layup and after Ray converts a 3-point play, Massey and House toss in layups. Ray makes two free throws then after Newsom puts in a layup, Clayton and Newsom trade 3pters. Newsom banks in a layup then Bragg cans two free throws to give Boise State a 22-point lead, 53-31, midway through the second half. Kelly makes two free throws and nails a 3pter and after Sargent sinks a hook, Kinloch and Sargent put in layups. Newsom hits a 3pter and Dalgarn banks in a layup then after Clayton and Newsom trade layups, House nails a short turnaround jumper. Kelly drops in a couple of layups and after Sargent and Bragg trade layups, Simons converts a 3-point play as the Broncos hold on for the win.

            Yeah, Valpo lost to Villanova (in the Paradise Jam finals) as well. Quickness is a trait the Wildcats have across dynasties, I guess. I also missed another goal (non-conf tourney) with the loss as well.

            The Crusaders fought back from a double digit deficit throughout most of the game to force OT. In fact, a last second miss could have won it for Valpo had it gone in.

            Then, Villanova just stomped us 20-4 in the OT period to emphasize their dominance. Since the game, they have risen to #7 in the polls.

            It was still a great game, though. The only solace that can be taken from the loss is that Valpo is much younger, Fr-Fr-So-Jr-Sr as starters compared to Villanova's Jr-Sr-Sr-Sr-Sr lineup. Despite the lower ranking in the Mid-major poll, the team is fun to coach. They broke out to a 62-32 halftime lead to beat Maryland in the PJ semi-finals.

Bragg puts in a layup and Hinds jams in a dunk then after Bouma hits a 3pter, Hinds lays in a rebound and House banks in a layup on a fast break to give Boise State the lead, 18-17, halfway through the opening period.                       First Half

                      Akins and Salow hit short turnaround jumpers and after Newsom banks in a layup, House and Bragg put in layups on fast breaks. Akins lays in a rebound then after Fellows and Thues each make two free throws, Massey sinks a short turnaround jumper. House cans a hook then Thues drops in a layup to give Southern Miss the lead, 12-10, halfway through the first half. Halcomb and Zuzak trade layups and after Dalgarn puts in a layup, Akins converts a 3-point play. Clemmons and Akins nail jumpers then after Olomo and Massey trade jumpers, Fellows drops in a layup. Newsom lays in a rebound and after Fellows makes 1 of 2 free throws, Massey and Fellows trade jumpers. Hinds banks in a short turnaround jumper then House and Gross trade jumpers as the Golden Eagles take a six point lead into halftime.                               First Half

                              Frederick banks in a short turnaround jumper and Newsom makes 1 of 2 free throws and after Newsom cans two more free throws, Massey and Abdullah trade layups. Hinds sinks a short turnaround jumper then after Abdullah drains a runner, House drops in a hook. Esterkamp and Massey put in layups and after McKee hits two free throws, Newsom buries a 3pter. Bing gets 1 of 2 free throws then after Frederick swishes a short turnaround jumper, Edwin puts in a layup and Bing drills a 3pter to pull Arkansas-Pine Bluff to within eight, 20-12, halfway through the opening half. Frederick lays in a rebound and after Edwin nails a short jumper, House sinks a hook. Abdullah converts a 3-point play then after Cortez makes two free throws, Cortez and Frederick trade layups. McGrain buries a 3pter and after Massey puts in a layup and 1 of 2 free throws, House puts in a couple of layups on fast breaks. Terrell sinks a hook then after Newsom drops in a layup, McGrain drills a 3pter at the buzzer to pull the Golden Lions to within six at the half.
