Wow! Is it too early to point out that your magic number to clinch the WAC title is down to 7 ??

Yes, it is too early. There is still a whole month to go.

It would also be nice for the teams that I have played, especially the power conference teams (Villanova, Notre Dame, Miami (FL), Missouri), to get on a winning roll because their winning percentage is part of the RPI formula. (That is, if the game uses the same formula as in real life). The more they win, the lower the RPI goes (as long as we keep winning, that is). Villanova is helping my RPI a ton because they are 17-2.

Looks like you're rolling through WAC play. You should be able to snag an NCAA Tournament bid this year, barring a collapse.

Are you done moving now? I see that you're back updating again.

I'm kind of glad that there was no College Hoops 2K9. I am now in my eight legacy season (and about to enter my ninth) and you're in like your sixth or maybe seventh season, I think. Since there was no new game to go out and get, we have been able to keep with our legacies and now are getting deep into legacy mode.

          Yale Bulldogs (NCAA Football 07)

I'm finishing my 6th year of "coaching", 4th at mid-major Boise State.

I just finished moving my things today. Tomorrow I will bring the "trash" to the end of the driveway for Wednesday's pickup. We are not allowed to have loud noises after 10 pm so I have had time to go through some games.

Our RPI and record are strong plus we are in the 12th ranked conference, which means that the WAC is pretty strong for a mid-major conference. Since there are 6 power & 3 major conferences, the WAC has been pretty consistant and is the 3rd best RPI rated mid-major (#1 is West Coast).

Thanks for the kind words. Okay, Jimmy V's school, the North Carolina State Wolfpack, will be included.

BTW, why did you decide to coach at the power level and not start a coaching dynasty at the small conference level?

Because I wanted to take a lesser school in a power conference and have them competing with the big guys. I think it is more of a challenge for me knowing the big teams you have to face night in and night out.

That is a challenge. So, are you starting with the coach rating of the real NC State coach, being an open legacy? In the current gen, taking over Wake Forest as an open legacy would have been a good challenge as well, as the game was not kind with Dino Gaudio's coach ratings. In my dynasty, he was fired after two years and has yet to find a new job through season 7. I believe he was rated a B-, which is deadly in the ACC.

Still, I think the bigger challenge is taking over a Power conference bottom-feeder a few years into the dynasty. For example, Penn State was available for my coach. This was a bad team, with no scholarships available for the first season and eight scholarships available for the second season. Even if you made good use of those scholarships, you still would have to deal with a bad Penn State team for both years of your initial contract before seeing any of your recruits in year 3 (provided you were not fired!).

Not that I am criticizing. I was too big a wimp to take on Penn State for myself, and took over a rated Maryland squad. Good luck with the Wolfpack!

I, myself picked Baylor because well on the game NC State is really good, its just that they are a bunch of underachievers.

                          Don,

Do you know how to edit the words that appear under your name for posts?

For some reason, my saying was changed to 'I didn't pay to be PINK!!', probably as some sort of April Fool's Day joke. Yours reverted back to 'MVP', as appropriate.

I never edited my phrase and can't find the location to do so. Any help on this would be appreciated.

                          Thx,

You have to be a donator to changed that. Don is an MVP because of how many posts he has made.

Mine was the same way as your's and the name was also in pink. I'm guessing the same as you, just an April Fool's Day thing. Mine reverted back to what it was later on during the day. Actually, I was thinking that it was Breast Cancer Awareness Day but I didn't hear of that being announced either. I also wouldn't mind if they did change the names to pink during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, whenever that occurs. It would be a nice touch to honor those that have, or have had, that type of cancer.

And now, on with the countdown, as Deejay Casey Kasem used to say back in the '70s.
