Ohio State is sitting at 5-4 right now. There games look like this:

    vs. #25 Drexel (7-1): W 65-62
    at Nevada (3-4): L 53-58
    at #21 California (7-2): W 64-55
    at Wake Forest (5-4): L 64-65
    at Seton Hall (5-4): W 64-56
    at #20 NC State (8-2): L 47-78
    vs Portland State (2-6): W 69-58
    vs Washington State (5-3) L 45-82
    vs College of Charleston (3-4): W 86-62

Their starting lineup looks a little something like this:

PG - William Buford (79 OVR, SR)
SG - Jordan Sibert (75 OVR, SO)
SF - Stanley Minnifield (81 OVR, FR)
PF - Deshaun Thomas (78 OVR, SO)
    C - Jared Sullinger (80 OVR, SO)

Minnifield is a five-star prospect from Detroit, MI. He's a 6'7", 225-pound small forward. He was the #1 SF in his class (#24 OVR), HS All-American and Mr. Basketball for Michigan. His pro buzz is first round, but only has a C+ potential so could stick around for a while. So far, he is averaging 5.6 points, 2.4 boards, 1.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.8 blocks per game. He is more of a defensive player than anything.

Sullinger, in his sophomore campaign, is averaging 13.8 points, 4.3 boards per game and is projected to go in the lottery this season.

Yes, VCU is ranked 9th in the nation and their stud freshman point guard is injured. They have also signed Donny Hunter, a 5* center prospect from Washington DC. He's 6'9" and is the No. 1 center in the class, 20th overall. They also added a 3* shooting guard that looks to be a defensive stopper. Things are looking up for VCU, just like in this year's tournament.

Vanderbilt is sitting at 6-3 early on the season and start three sophomores that should grow into a formidable trio in the coming years. As for their recruiting class, they have signed four three-star prospects: PG, SG and two SFs. They are ranked 112, 123, 142 and 151, so they could all blossom into good players down the road.

If anyone wants an update with what's going on with their school, let me know and I'll give a quick overview of how their season is going.

The Wildcats of New Hampshire took part in the Daylight Bowl Tournament with Marshall, Miami (OH) and Utah and ended up finishing in dead last. In the two games, UNH was not competitive, showing that they have plenty of work left to do.

In their last tune up before AEC conference play begins, Coach Rizzo and the Wildcats get a win over Cornell of the Ivy league. Led by the play of big man
Chris Matagrano (13 points) and Chandler Rhoads (10 points, 6 assists, 2 steals), UNH enters conference play with a 7-6 record, good for third best in the conference. But those wins will no longer mean anything as their only chance at dancing this year is to win the conference tournament.

Really enjoyed reading through this so far. Glad to see you're updating again -- and I'm fine with you not bogging yourself down with a bunch of updates if you just want to get through a year.

I would like to give an overview of each month of games, but I shut off the game to watch the Florida/Butler game. Hopefully tomorrow I will get a write-up for those and perhaps get to the conference tournament.

Always love to know how BSU,Gonzaga, and WSU are doing in peoples legacies.

For me, this season I did game by game updates of my non-conference schedule then just did a Conference Recap on how I did then post NCAA tourney stuff to move through the seasons a little faster, but next season, I am thinking for Conference games, I might add in at least 1 game a month type thing or somthing.

I am good with whatever you decide to do, as long as I see something my friend

How are my Temple Owls going???
Temple Owls are currently sitting atop the A-10 standings with a 5-1 conference record and a 13-7 overall record. Starting lineup is:

PG - Jake Godino (75 OVR, SR)
SG - Juan Fernandez (79 OVR, SR)
SF - Ramone Moore (74 OVR, SR)
PF - Anthony Lee (76 OVR, SO)
                      C - Michael Eric (70 OVR, SR)

Last year they signed two three-star prospects:

Jack Whaley - PG, 67 OVR - Philadelphia, PA
                      • Decent scorer from all spots on the floor, but not a threat to penetrate and finish in the lane.
                      • Below average handles, average passing ability.
                      • Absolute pest on the defensive end of the floor.
                      • Lacks speed and quickness to keep up with starting guards in the A-10

                      Leon Alexander - 6'11" C, 68 OVR - Allentown, PA
                      • 86 Close rating, but very rarely will throw it down
                      • Good, not great rebounder
                      • Has heavy feet, keeping him from running the floor

This season, they have already singed three more three-star prospects:

                      Arnaud Bird - #15 PF, #138 OVR
                      Zam Wooden - #49 SF, #313 OVR
                      Dane Crosswhite - #71 SF, #369 OVR

Boise State is 3-6 in the WAC, 10-13 overall. Leads only San Jose State in the conference. Boise State's roster is something that I have never seen before as it consists of only freshmen and sophomores. Not a single upper-classman on the roster.

Gonzaga is 5-2 in the WCC, tied with San Francisco for the top spot, but leads in the overall record department as the Zags are 17-5 on the season while the Dons are 14-8. Last year, the Zags signed two players:

                        D'Jamal Love - 6'8" PF - 76 OVR - 3*, #27 PF, #130 OVR - Renton, WA
                        • Absolute animal offensively on the block. At 6'8" and 236 pounds, he's a handful for defenders.
                        • Can dunk and imposes pain on the rim. He's got a quick first step for a player his size.
                        • Pretty good rebounder as well as shot blocker.

                        Maurice Blackwell - 6'2" PG - 74 OVR - 4*, #21 PG, #60 OVR - Fairbanks, AK
                        • Mr. Basketball: Alaska
                        • Potential: B
                        • Seeing limited minutes now, but looks to be a very well-rounded player.
                        • Scores in the lane as well as from deep.
                        • Quick hands and feet, allowing him to get easy steals.

Gonzaga currently has a two-man recruiting class this year.
                        • Billy Campbell: 6'4" SG from Spokane, WA. Four-star prospect, #15 SG, #58 OVR
                        • Jordi Perry: 5'11" SG from Kent, WA. Four-star prospect, #28 SG, #94 OVR

Washington State is a respectable 5-4 in the Pac-10, 14-7 overall and sitting in a tie for 4th place in the conference with UCLA. The Cougars have themselves a monster recruiting class.

                        Keonta Rogers
                        • 7'2" 263-pound Center from Portland, OR
                        • Mr. Basketball: Oregon
                        • Four-Stars, #3 C, #40 OVR

                        Sherman Dawson
                        • 6'5" SF from Spokane, WA
                        • Mr. Basketball: Washington
                        • Four-Stars, #10 SF, #51 OVR

                        Paris Nabors
                        • 6'7" PF from Tacoma, WA

                        Zach Pettyjohn
                        • 6'4" SG from Corvallis, OR

Thanks for the updates on my teams. Can't wait to see how the 7'2 monster does for the Cougs.

BSU roster looks similar to what I am running right now in my legacy. I have 6 FR and 2 SO with 1 JC Transfer JR and a SR PG.

                              Updates Around UNH Program

                              Myrick Returns

After quite some time on the shelf, sophomore small forward Ferg Myrick has fully recovered from his foot injury and will be back in the starting lineup against UMBC this week. His offensive prowess will be welcomed after the last two outings for the Wildcats, but he needs to step it up on the defensive end.

                              Defense Wins

In a change of philosophies last month, Coach AJ Rizzo has decided that slowing down the pace of the game is a better fit for this team. With the fast breaking minimized, the defensive intensity will be picked up. Running their man-to-man D, Coach Rizzo is asking his players to dig in defensively and get in their man's face at all times.

We have also noticed that every player on the team has been working on their defense in order to fully fit Rizzo's new defensive philosophy. Word on the recruiting trail is that if you can't play defense, Coach Rizzo doesn't want you. Let's see how this will affect the UNH program in the near future.

Embarrassing loss to the conference's worst team only magnified with the loss of sharpshooter, Ryan Herrion, who suffered an Achilles injury and will be sidelined for up to three weeks. He should be back and ready to play in time for the conference tournament, but UNH cannot afford any more injuries. Also, junior college transfer Jerrod Finley sprained his ankle in the UMBC game, but isn't expected to miss any time. He said the injury may hamper him in the Hartford game, but not much longer than that.

Wildcats get back to their winning ways as Chandler Rhoads leads the way with 22 points (1 shy of his career-high), 3 rebounds and 7 assists along with 4-6 shooting from deep. UNH held Hartford to under 33% shooting, proving that when they play defense like Coach Rizzo expects, the game ends in their favor.

UNH recovers from a 6-point halftime deficit at home to beat the Bearcats of Binghamton by just four points. Sophomores Scott Morris and Ferg Myrick both scored a game-high 12 points each while Chandler Rhoads dished a game-high 6 assists. Coach Rizzo was quoted saying, "We wanted to die by the three (3-18 on the game), but they shot equally as bad as us today. We just made a couple plays down the stretch to secure a win."

The Wildcats' offense goes stagnant in the second half, but holds catches a break as Albany misses a three at the buzzer with a chance to send it to overtime. Interestingly enough, everyone on the active roster saw playing time this game. Shooting 6-13 from deep was a huge reason why UNH jumped out to the 12-point halftime lead.

After being blown out by 30 points on their home floor just three weeks ago, the UNH Wildcats exact revenge on Maine by putting a 24-point beat down on them. Three Wildcats scored in double-digits with Chandler Rhoads scoring a game-high 19 points while DeAndray Buckley and Chris Matagrano both finished with 10 points each.

Vermont ends New Hampshire's four-game winning streak. Boston's own Matt Glass, a transfer student from UMass, poured in 24 points off the bench to down the Wildcats, spoiling the efforts of Chris Matagrano (21 points) and Chandler Rhoads (19 points, 3 boards, 4 assists).

In the final regular season game of the year, the UNH Wildcats grind out an ugly 35-32 win where defense took over. Neither team could throw the ball in the ocean, but free-throw shooting was the difference. UNH hit on 11 of their 17 attempts from the line while Stony Brook only hit 9 of 19.

With the conference regular season over, the Wildcats of New Hampshire locked up the #2 seed in the America East tournament, trailing only Vermont in the conference standings. Let's hope that UNH does not have a let down in the early rounds of the conference tournament.
